Summary: One of the best books I've ever read!
Review: An absolutely fantastic book! I can't wait to read Rejar the story about Lorgins brother. Dara Joy wrote a wonderful story. It has been long ago since I laughed out loud or that I have sighed and wished the story would never end while reading.

Summary: I had high hopes.....BUT
Review: I could go into the premise of the book but I think it's been pretty much covered in the other reviews. Instead I'll talk about what I liked and disliked about the book.

I had high hopes when I first purchased the book. The story about an alien ending up in this woman's apartment sounded pretty good. And I will admit it was rather funny the first few chapters but then it went downhill.

Not only was the female lead, Deanne, pathetic, indecisive and weak but the male lead was hopelessly arrogant and macho. Not that I don't like men that are secure in themselves but Lorgin, the male lead, totally frustrated me. Deanne had absolutely no back bone when it came to dealing with Lorgin and whenever she did try and assert herself, Lorgins response was to have sex with her until she changed her mind, and change it she did. Now I'm not a femanist but I do believe in compromise, however with Lorgin there was none. It was either his way or...his way. Period.

I'm going to try and read "Rejar" because I purchased that book at the same time and I'm hoping it will be a better read. Hopefully I will not have to struggle reading "Rejar" the same way I did "Knight of a Trillion Stars."

Summary: Puuuhhleeeese!
Review: Okay, it was not THAT bad.
Alright, it was kinda bad.
The book did start off quite well. I thought it was hilarious in the first few chapters. But that was all. The rest of the book became quite boring, filled with endless unnecessary sex scenes. I'm okay with sex scenes in romance novels. There's gotta be some, right? Well, in this book it was kind of overdone. I also don't think that the author has given enough consideration when creating the female lead character. She had no control of herself whatsoever when it came to Lorgin (the main guy). I think it was pathetic. She was also unbelievably dumb. Even male authors would have given their female characters more credit that that. You can drool over a guy or fantasize about him, but you don't have lose all your dignity and senses over the sight of his bare [rear end].
Enough said. ...

Summary: My absolute Favorite
Review: I absolutely, positively love this book. I can still remember the fascination I had when I first read it. I immediately rushed out to buy a second copy because I was so afraid that something might happen to my first copy. What can I say except Lorgin and Deanna are wonderful. I fell in love with the two of them. Lorgin is the perfect Alpha-male without being super hard core like most. This is a wondeful book. Its a futuristic/Time-Space travel and can get a little tedious with all the terms and dimensions hocus pocus, but that doesn't detract from the story at all. In fact, as you continue on with the series it actually begins to make a little sense (smile). Probably because I was trying to "teleport" myself to thier world so I could find my own Avarian, but that is besides the point. Read this book! I guarantee you will love it. NOW WILL SOMEONE PLEASE WRITE MS. JOY AND TELL HER TO WRITE TRAED'S STORY. I AM TIRED OF WAITING!!!

Summary: Don't Hesitate... READ THIS BOOK!!
Review: Steamy, funny (VERY funny) and a real page-turning adventure. There are a lot of reviews that explain the plot, so I won't state it yet again. Let me just tell you that this book was so funny, I couldn't help laughing out loud many times -- so much so that my husband kicked me out of bed so he could get some sleep. I just couldn't put it down. And although I usually read paperbacks then pass them along, this is one I'm NOT parting with. FYI, it's romance (the steamy parts), sci-fi and adventure. It's also the first of the Matrix of Destiny series. The second book is "Rejar" and the third is "Mine to Take" It's best to read them in order.

Summary: Joy has seriously done it this time!
Review: This is the most touching, complex, wonderful story that I have ever seen Dara Joy produce. Not even Rejar, in my opinion, is as good as this book. Well, uhh... I'm biased because Traed is more fully developed in this book than in any other Aviaran-type Dara Joy book, and he's my favorite character... but trust me, this book will have you laughing, crying, and wishing with a fervency that you didn't know you had that Aviarans and Familiars were real.

Summary: Hilariously sexy
Review: If you like "Warriors Woman" by Johanna Lindsey then this book is also for you. It's funny and sexy at the same time. The sequel to this book is "Rejar" and I can't wait for another one in this series to come out.

Summary: ...-o-rama
Review: If you are a true science fiction fan, don't buy this - it's a pretty awful mish-mash retread of ideas and images lifted from the worst of Star Trek to the worst of Authurian legend Disney-style. If you are a true romance fan, you may still be annoyed because there's way too much against-her-will going on. Poor little dumb virginal earthling and big strong pushy alien. Yuck. And who wants to kiss a guy with lavendar eyes?

Plus the writing style is pretty... average. If the book had a few original ideas or swept you into a slightly believable other-reality it might make up for a lack of wit in the verbal byplay. No such luck. Blah. I couldn't get more than half way through this and then canned my copy.

Summary: this and mine to take are her best
Review: This book is funny, hot and original. I didn't care for rejar but this one and mine to take are keepers you will read over and over again. The only problem with this series is after you get through this one, rejar, and mine to take, you will want to read Traed's story and I have been waiting for years for it to come out.

Summary: fabulous
Review: This was a wonderful book. I couldn't wait to finish it and then was disappointed when the book was done. I had to go and buy Rejar and then Mine to Take. This is the best book series I have ever read. I am usually a Susan Johnson fan and a Johanna Lindsey fan, but now I have Dara Joy at the top of my list. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series. Read this book and the other 2 in this series you will not be disappointed.
