Summary: Dara Joy is a crowd-pleaser!!
Review: I've read all of the author's books and have found myself unable to put down any of them once I've begun...until I've finished the book.KNIGHT OF A TRILLION STARS is a good book to start with since it is the first book of the series, the next 2 books being REJAR and MINE TO TAKE.I can't wait for the next book in the series to be published. On the other hand, if your preference is more towards that of contemporary romance,HIGH ENERGY would probably be a book to suit your palate better. However, I believe that if you give Ms. Joy a chance, she'll make a futuristic romance lover of you.

Summary: Hmmm.....
Review: Recently having read "Mine to Take", I made to effort to obtain all of Dara Joys' books. And succeeded. I did enjoy the "Knights.." however it seems for all the wrong reasons. I did not find it funny for the reasons given in peoples reviews, The clay pot episode and the microwave scene was embarassing not funny, but what Joy did do well for me was make alien worlds which were not a strain to image. I have read sci-fi for years and many sci-fi authors can't manage to do so. Lorgin is a very sexy main character but in real life I think I would hit him over the head for his comments like "..it is not for you to know.." and not explaining procedures. The book was enjoyable and easy to read and I have reread it and intend to do so in the future. The female lead however is disappointing, no real curiousity, no real questions, no real common sense and she doesn't seem to get better. The only time Deanne seemed real to me was during her labour, and that I believe was in another book. In contrast all the male characters are well developed and in some cases damned interesting. Either way take the book in the spirit it was written and you will have a entertaining read.

Summary: Simply wonderful!!! Funny and steamy
Review: Knight of a Trillion Stars is a great book! Check out all the others by Dara Joy for more humorous tales.

Summary: Mostly fun to read
Review: Deana and Lorgan story was mostly fun to read. I'm waiting for Tread's story. I had one major problem with the story: whenever a woman said "NO!" that means "NO!". Lorgan used sex to get whatever he wants from Deana, instead of talking to her. He assumed he knows better what's good for her and what she wants. Well, I have got news for you Mrs. Joy: A woman knows what she wants, when she wants it and how she wants it. And when she say "STOP", that means she wants him to stop, even if her body tells another story.

Summary: One of my all time favorite books!!!
Review: I have read this book three times and I have loved it every time. I just can't get enough. I bought Rejar as soon as I could and loved it as well. Mine to Take was not as good but I still highly recommend it. Please hurry with Tread's story. I can't wait to find out what is going on with Lorgin, Adeeann and Rejar. This book was so funny I laughed out loud. Beware of DARTH MICROWAVE!!!

Summary: ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!!
Review: Ridiculous, kitsch, a complete waste of time. The heroine is stupid beyond belief, the book's storyline heavily underestimates the reader's intelligence, and the prose is close to illiterate, not to mention the novel's pathetic dialogue. An exercise in bad taste.

Anyone who dresses like Lorgin should be in jail.

All in all, extremely trashy. My first and last attempt to read a Dara Joy novel.

Summary: EXCEPTIONAL IN EVERY WAY
Review: I am a life-long reader of science-fiction and fantasy and have just started reading romances. This book took me by surprise. After reading it, I went out and got her other books in the series (and any other book by her that I could find) and have to say that I loved the romance aspects of the books but was more than pleasantly surprised at the depth of expertise she showed with the science-fiction fantasy elements which carried through not one but three books. The plotting is very rich and subtle while being seamlessly interwoven. There are intricate layers to these books and they are expertly executed. The characters are no cardboard cut-outs, they have hidden angles and motives and, in my opinion, were masterfully drawn. This woman knows fantasy and science fiction and she postivelyknows her science. If you doubt it- just read a book by her called HIGH ENERGY. Her hero is not simply labeled a physicist, he IS a physicist. My friend's husband, who is a physicist, said that Tyber was right on the money. (By the way, this man also loved the Matrix books) I think Dara Joy is the first person to write true cross-over fiction and one of the best new voices to come out in years. I am anxious to see what she has in store for us as she goes on. Many of my friends who are avid science fiction readers, both male and female, have picked up her Matrix series and loved them. Now that is saying something!

Summary: A joy to read
Review: After having days in my own life that have gone from bad to worse I found nothing funny about the begaining of this book. I just felt sorry for Deana. Her gullibility through out the book was pure fantasy. But isn't that what futuristic books are about? Lorgan ta'al Krue and his family and friends were a joy to meet. I hope to meet them again very soon. Gullible? Yes!, but what girl would not like to wake up and find sex like that in their lives. To think about it, makes you smile. To read about it, makes you wonder where you can find that type of pure bliss for your self. Then you remember it's fantasy and laught about the wonder of it all. This was the first book that I have read by Dara Joy, but far from my last. I read it in one sitting and my day was well spent. The ending was good, but could have used more punch. Therefore I only gave it four stars.

Summary: Non-stop laughter, action, suspense and of course....romance
Review: Dara Joy is a readers delight!!! Her "Matrix of destiny" series ( Knight of A Trillion Stars, Rejar and Mine to Take) are beautifully written. You will not be able to put this book down as Dara Joy introduces you to a world and characters, you cannot help but fall in love with. Lorgin and Deanna's story is laced with adventure, lots of love, magic and hysterical humor. If you havent read this book, I highly reccomend you do!!!

Summary: Definitely a mixed bag
Review: This book is mildly entertaining; it has Dara Joy's usual complement of long-haired, brawny men who have incredible sexual prowess, and women who resist them (sort of) with limp excuses until the end of the book. The plot, such as it is, is a thin excuse for the sex scenes. These are quite good; one would be delighted to be on the receiving end of even one of them. But let's face it; these books (I've read this one and Mine to Take) are hardly science fiction (or fantasy); there's no effort to develop this aspect of the book. The cosmic crises are gotten out of the way in a few perfunctory sentences, while much time is devoted to the sex and the dialogue between hero and heroine: he makes cryptic remarks about their destiny, she trots out a series of cliches and smart remarks instead of actually using her intelligence to think about what's going on around her and what her own motives are. In addition, both of the two I have read have exactly the same plot: strong, sexy alien male finds the woman he is destined for, becomes entangled in a relationship with her without her understanding what's really going on, and spends the rest of the book seducing her instead of talking to her (I know, I know, if he explained there'd be no story!). I gave this three stars because the sex was good, and that's the biggest reason to read this, but the fiction, science or otherwise, the plot, the characters, and the use of language was mediocre at best.
