Summary: A interesting, but good book!
Review: My opinion of the book "Nothing but the Truth" is that I really enjoyed it. I thought it was really well written. It think it is best read in a play format so each character is read by a different person. I think Avi did a god job of picking Philip Malloy. I think that he would act just like any other kid his age that was going through that type of situation. This is my opinion on this book. I haven't read any other of Avi's books but I plan to do so very soon!

Summary: Nothing But The Truth
Review: I think this would have been better if it did not have memos. This book was not as good as I though it was going to be.I think it should have more exiement.Personl I think it was boring.Philip was the best because he was just standing up for what he belive in,and I did not see enlthing roung with that.I gave the book 1 star.

Summary: This book provides a wonderful lesson for eighth graders.
Review: I have just fininshed teaching Nothing But the Truth by Avi. I found that the book does a good job teaching important values to eighth grade students in a way that is real to them. One of my students reacted by commenting, "It's really getting on my nerves how everyone is stretching the truth." This book provides any classroom teacher with a basis for lively discussions about what is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. What could be more relevant today? The book also provides a nice connection to eighth grade social studies (current events, the constitution, etc.) I highly recommend it.

Summary: Great book for teachers to share with students
Review: I think this is a great book for teachers to share and talk about with their students to exemplify why communication is so vital to the success of relationships. I was required to read it for an education class at my university. We then discussed how we would have solved the problem differently and how we would have hindered the incident from growing into a mess! Overall, it is a great educational tool.

Summary: boring
Review: I didn't like how it was set up as conversations. I got confused reading the book because of the conversations. I also thought the plot was boring. I also thought Mrs. Narwin was really mean.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: "Boring and long."
Review: It was pretty boring. Mrs. Narwin should of told them that he wsa humming the national anthem from the beginning. It would of stoped the problem and all the attention. How could you not know the words.Iknew them sence kindegarden. They are so easy to remember."Talk about stupid reading"

Summary: Nothing But the Truth
Review: Nothing but the Truth is a book about young Philip Malloy. He is your average ninth grader. Actually, he was until a smallincident changed his life. Nothing But the Truth is very profound and may not be interesting to young adults. Author Avi did a great job depicting this story in the format written. It explores the power of communication and the different perspectives of the same contraversial subject.

Summary: Suspended for singing the National Anthem
Review: In the book, "Nothing But The Truth", a boy named Philip Malloy was suspended for singing the National Anthem. The book was alright, but it's not my style. The way the book was set up was unique. It was made up of letters, notes, diary entries, and memos. Besides that I think the book was pretty stupid. Sorry for the harsh comments but at least I'm telling the truth! Like the name of the book- NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH! :)

Summary: A boy hums in class and starts alot of trouble
Review: A boy (philip) hum along to a song in class and starts alot of trouble. When a news paper prints a story about what happen teachers starts geting letters and phone calls. Philip gets made fun of in class so he goes to another school.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good realistic book
Review: I really enjoy how Avi wrote this book. With the conversations and letters. He makes it all seem like it could happen in real life. That Phillip Malloy could be a real kid that goes to the press about something that happened at his school. Though I do wonder why the school would lie about some of the things that happened that day. It makes you wonder about what what people might do to getting too much attention to themselves. I really don't know what Phillip has againced Miss. Narwin, other than the D on his test. Miss Narwin sounds like she would be a good teacher. I like the little bit of surprize ending, what really happened that one day in Miss. Narwin's room.
