Summary: This book was very interesting!
Review: Have you ever dreamed of being a hero in a tall tale? Well,Maniac Magee lives a tall tale life and he's a hero in a special way. If you like to read about unbeliveable events you will surely enjoy Maniac tales! When he was a little boy Maniac's parents died in a horrible wild crash. After that he is sent to his aunt and uncle who don't get along very well. they fight over him every day. One night Maniac has had enough from them and takes his life in his own hands! I think that third graders and up would really enjoy this book because it talks about honesty and racism. You see, Maniac dosent really notie the color on people. He see's every in the same way. I really like this book because it teaches kids and parents that no matter what color you are you are still the same inside.

Summary: Okay; but Interesting!
Review: Maniac Magee is not your typical kid. After all, do you know anyone who can run 200 miles in only 51 days, and not even be tired? Well that's Maniac! Throughout the story Maniac meets many different kinds of people, some black and some white. For example, the Beale's are a black family who are quite nice and they take Maniac in. Other blacks in the town don't like Maniac (he's white)and he doesn't understand what the racism is all about. He beleives that everyone is the same no matter what color they are! Then Maniac has to teach Grayson, an old white man who is Maniac's closest friend, that blacks eat, drink, and use tooth brushes the same way that whites do! But this is not the only lesson Maniac teaches about racial equality. You'll have to read this book to find out what else happend! So if you're into modern-day tall tales and you have not yet read this book, then my advice is to run as fast as Maniac would to the nearest book store or library TODAY:0)

Summary: Maniac Magee- A wonderful adventure for readers of all ages
Review: Maniac Magee, a novel by Jerry Spinelli, is one of my all time favorite books. It chronicles the marveous adventures of a young boy as he learns many of life's lessons. I first read this book when I was in the third grade and it has remained one of my favorites since. I think it should be required reading in all schools because of the controversies that it involves. I really enjoy it each and every time I read it. Thank you Jerry Spinelli.

Summary: Maniac Magee
Review: I loved this book! It was about a boy whotraveled from town to town without parents. He traveled to the east and west end. There was one end with black people and the other with white. Maniac was white, so when he traveled to the end with all the blacks, people thought he was nuts. He became very close to one of the families. He tought people that it doesn't matter what you look like on the outsid. It doesn't change what you look like on the inside. I give this book 5 stars and I recommend it to kids who are looking for a good book!

Summary: Wonderful book for all ages
Review: This book has truly touched and entertained me like only a few have. It touches on such serious topics, yet makes them easy to understand for the younger reader and keeps you reading and laughing until the very end. Maniac Magee is great for a quick read or in the classroom!

Summary: The Maniac Review
Review: Maniac was a legend in his own time. He should have been named Forrest Gump with all the running he did! With each new family he came upon he changed their lives forever. I think Grayson made the most impact on Jeffrey's life. But, all the love Maniac felt came from Mrs. Beale. With friends like Mars Bar, Amanda, Hector, and Lector, where could Maniac have gone wrong? He could do everything that a child thought was impossible. Which led everyone to think Jeffrey was some kind of super hero, and in his world he was. Maniac had the will to survive and become someone, which is what all children learn to do throughout their life.

Summary: They say...
Review: They say. What's truth, what's myth? It's hard to know. But when Jeffrey lionel Magee wanders into Teo Mills, Pennsylvania, a legend is in the making. It's a little hard to believe, because Jeffrey's a scruffy twelve-year-old kid--not exactly hero material. But before too long, the stories begin to circulate: about how fast and how far he can run. About how he knocks the world's first-ever "frogball" for an inside-the-park home-run bunt. About how he scores forty-nine touchdowns the time he plays football with the high school team, and about how he performs other feats so incredible that they earn him the nickname "Maniac." But all that is nothing compared to the bravest, craziest thing jeffrey ever does at Two Mills-- The thing he does for the kids from the east end and those from the West End. This is his story, and it's a story that is very careful not to get the facts mixed up with the truth.

Summary: A must-read book!
Review: I can honestly say that this is one of the best books I have ever read. I couldn't put it down once I started. It made me laugh and it made me cry. It's about a boy named Jeffrey Magee, nicknamed Maniac, who comes to this town that is completely divided in the middle by racial prejudice. Maniac becomes a legend in this town with all of his amazing stunts and tricks. But the thing that he is best know for is how he helps this town see the err in their ways. This is truly an excellent book for all children to read.

Summary: Maniac Magee: Winner of the 1991 Newbery Award!
Review: I love this book. It tells a lot about the sixties when white people did not like black people. It uses racism, courage, and many other things. This book contains many details and a lot of personification. I would recommend this book to anybody!

Summary: Maniac Magee Review
Review: My overall opinion on this book is it was an ok book it was bad but good in the same sentence. A few things that i liked about the book was that Jeffery was able to do almost anything. I liked the part when Jeffery unties cobble's knot. I also liked the way he taught Grayson how to read books. One more thing that i liked is the way the Beale family adopted him. A few things i didn't like about the book was that they called Jeffery maniac. Another thing I didn't like was that Jefferey had to move every time he got comfortable in a place. I really didn't like that Grayson died that is sad. This book was a book with happy and sad moments. Thank you for your time and thank you for reading my review.
