Summary: Maniac Magee
Review: Maniac Magee, by Jerry Spinelli was an exciting adventure that includes, hopes and fears, that most middle school kids don't face. Maniac went through a lot but never lost his pride. I hated when Grayson died, because it crushed Maniac's hopes and made him sad. But all in all, the book was intersting. My English class and I read the book together. We created story wheels which includes the setting, main characters, events, and the turning point of the book. Seventh graders and up should read this book. I'm looking forward th reading Spinelli's newest book, Wringer.

Summary: This book is great!
Review: I think the book Maniac Magee is a great book by Jerry Spinell. He really explained alot of things in detail. It is a very funny and exciting book! I really liked the wayManaic Magee wasn't scared of anyone and he could make friends with anyone. My favorite part was when Manaic hit the frog fling home run. I think that the way people were willing to help manaic out and be there for him shows the good side of our world. Amanda was a great charctor because she was helpful in everyway. I know that this book shows how people can help each other and how the blacks and whites can work together. I would recommend this book to any one that might have probles with different colored skin that can understand how to work there prprobles out. Or to just a young teen that is looking for a good book to read. I know I love this bookbecause I have read it more than once and I hope you will too.

Summary: Maniac Magee
Review: My maniac magee book review

To me maniac Magee was an ok book just there was not enough action in it. Personally I like a book with lots of action in it. There were some things I did not get, like when Maniac left his aunt and Uncle's house and ran he would have went through different towns so what made him chose that one. Plus wouldn't his aunt or uncle be worried and came after him when he left. I think this book needed more action in it. Like more with mars bar and others. To me this was a ok book I wound not call it my favorite book but it was not the worst book I read. I think that maybe there could have been a little more back round info about Grason, because you really did not know about his past life at all how he got living at the "y". I kind of wish there was some background stuff about how there became a east side and a west side. I think this book could be more interesting if there was more action the cobbles knot I did not know what it looked like very much so I could not really picture what it looked like. I think you should make a sequel to this book with more action. Over all on a scale of 1 to 5 I'd give it a 3 because it was a ok book. A little about my self, I am a 6th grader at Hubble middle school. I am on the space ranger team.

Summary: Maniac Magee
Review: Maniac Magee was a very good book. Jeffrey Magee got his name when he hit a home run against John McNab (the best pitcher). He also went into the strange Finsterwallie's back yard (everyone was scared of them). I have learned a lot from this book. The book explains how blacks and whites get along. Maniac sees no difference in the blacks and whites. He just sees them as a rainbow with lots of colors. I liked this book because it was about the same age group as me a sixth grader. It showed us real examples about life that could really happen. It teaches us that black and whites should all be treated equally. I think that a lot of kids should read this book, especially those who are bully's. The book shows that even if you are homeless someone out in the world cares about you.

Summary: DISAPPOINTING
Review: I will never understand why profanity has to be written in children's books. The author could have written that differently to make his point.

Summary: It was okay.
Review: I thought that the book Maniac Magee was a good story.Even though at times Spinelli made things a little hard to understand,Jerry did a very good job of describing things. He made things that sounded bad sound bad,and things that sounded enchanting,he made them even more enchanting.Although it was a good descibing story for me,it was a little hard to get into.I would recommend this book to people who can enjoy and get into books like this.

Summary: Maniac Magee
Review: When I first began reading this book a few years ago, I figured it was going to be just a fun, imaginative fiction book. I found out it was more than that. "Maniac Magee" displays friendship where you least expect it, overcoming feats, and being strong against racism. This is a great children's book, one that I have read three or four times.

Summary: What A Great Book!
Review: I give this book 5 stars because it is about black people notliking white people and white people not liking black people. WhenManiac's mom and dad died he got sent to his Aunt and Uncle's house. Maniac didn't like his Aunt and Uncle because they had two of everything in their house. After that he ran to the East End where the black people are. He met a girl named Amanda Beal. She had a brother and a sister. Amanda had a suitcase foul of books because Hester and Lester were tearing pages out and drawing on them. After Amanda went to school Maniac kept on jogging until he got on Mars Bar's street. Mars Bar was right in front of him. Maniac turn around kept jogging. School was over and Amanda Beal came home. Maniac followed her inside the house. Amanda introduced Maniac to her mom, to her dad, to Hester, and Lester.Maniac slept in Amanda's bed, but he slept on the floor. That day some black people wrote fishbelly on the wall of the Beal's house. Amanda's mom was scrubbing the paint off the wall. She only got the f off of fishbelly. It says ishbelly know. Maniac leaves because there are too many problems with a white person living with a black family. Read the story if you want to find out how it ends.....
