Summary: Psycho-thriller keeps you turning pages
Review: This was my first James Patterson novel and I found myself engrossed in this complex two-coast mass murder mystery. The concept of a Cassanova kidnap/murderer with a twin on the West Coast made for a fascinating read despite some lame dialogue and character development. The premise and the action scenes were all the worthwhile and I'll rent the movie now to see how the director retells the story.

Summary: simply good
Review: THE THING I LIKED MOSTLY ABOUT THIS BOOK IS THAT THE CHAPTERS ARE 2-3 PAGES SHORT.THAT HELPS TO INCREASE TENSION AND MAKES YOU WANT TO KEEP READING.THE BAD THING IS THAT THE LAST PARTS OF THE BOOK ARE NOT AS GOOD AS THE REST OF IT.IT'S GREAT THOUGH FOR A FAST READ.

Summary: I fell in Love with this thriller!
Review: Patterson writes the most interesting and thrilling novel I've ever read. I hope to read more of Patterson's work. Kiss the Girls is definently a good book to read for suspence and intriuge.

Summary: Sexually violent thriller lacks any redeeming qualities
Review: After reading the glowing reviews here, I thought this would be a great page turner; unfortunately, it is more of a stomach turner. Sure, I read it in one coast-to-coast flight, it has two-page chapters and jumbo type. It needs to, the people who read and enjoy such novels require this. Bottom line, this is a needlessly sexually violent thriller without a plot, character development, or element of mystery to solve. Save your money, the only reason I did not give it no starts is that is not a choice.

Summary: THE BEST CRIME NOVEL EVER
Review: When I go to bed, I say that I will read for about 30 minutes or so and then go to bed. I was reading this book at 10:00 p.m. When I looked at my clock and it was about 3:30 a.m. I am not joking. Five and a half hours passed and it felt like 20 minutes. Patterson made this story so scary(even though it isn't meant to be)and believable, that I had nightmares. Anybody who eats and sleeps will LOVE this book. Make sure that you start at an early time. I gaurantee you wont be able to stop reading or stop wondering what will happen next.

Summary: Definately a book that you can't put down
Review: This book was so intense and exilrating that it was impossible to put it down. James Patterson is an incrediable author who knows how to keep his reader interested and wanting more. Kiss the Girls has a great plot, terrific characters and an all around great story.

Summary: Just plain bad.
Review: Where to begin? The plot, characters, motives, dialouge, EVERYTHING is this book was horrible. The police let Kate, a victim of an assault-kidnapping-rape return to her house (the very place where the attack occured) without any kind of surveillance? Even though the criminal responsible is still at large? 3 guesses who ends up paying her a visit! The disappearing house? OK, let's think about this, Kate. You ran up some old stairs. Then you ran up more stairs, then still more, and sudenly you're outside in the woods. What does this tell you? You don't think... maybe... the house was underground? Nah. But the most laughable scene was the totally inept stakeout by the police and the FBI. Hmmm, we've got his place surrounded. He's ours! Waitaminute! There he goes in his car! Should we follow him? Nah, Alex is hanging on to his roof. He'll be fine. The dialouge at least kept me amused. What's sad is that it was supposed to be "serious" and "gutwrenching"! "What's the matter, honey? Tell your Daddy all your troubles and woes!" and "She was too strong-willed (in our relationship). I just couldn't hold on to the Katester. God, I still can't believe this has happened to her!" But my favorite moment... "When was the last time you saw Naomi?" "It was about ten days ago, Alex." "Have you seen her since then?" "No." I think it'll be awhile before Mr. Patterson is on my to-read list again.

Summary: Middle School-level reading
Review: This book is very very easy reading. I polished it off in about 6 hours.

If the author hadn't reminded me every few paragraphs or so of how rotten I should feel for being white, it would have been a better read.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good book. Spends too much time with "Black History"
Review: Well weaved story. However, I found my time being wasted while the author gave me his views regarding the "Black Experience". This is enough for me to avoid buying any more of his books. I am not prejudice but I am not concerned with what happened 150 years ago. The practice of slavery does not happen in America today. Perhaps the author could think of himself as an American rather than a black American.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Patterson really hit the nail on the head with this one!
Review: Once you open the book, you cannot put it down. This tense, nail-biting novel seems to have a surprise around every corner. You just have to read it for yourself.
