Summary: This book is a must read for every adult!!!
Review: In The Meantime is very spiritually uplifting. It deals with issues of life and love that are often talked about, but with little clarity. This book offers spiritual guidance and direction to all who are seeking it in the midst of confusion. Vanzant has a way of touching the heart and the mind like no other author. The messages in this book are so profound that they are almost non-descriptive. In The Meantime has fundamentally changed my outlook on life.

Summary: It is the best book around about learning to love yourself.
Review: "In the Meantime" helped me to cope with the emotional distress of my divorce. I've read 18 books in the last 8 months since I've been separated. This book really touched my heart and talked to me in ways no other book could. It's for anyone who wants to get more in touch with themselves. It's a spiritual journey that you'll want to revisit again and again when you find yourself feeling lost and alone. I couldn't put the book down! I've turned many friends on to it who have express sincere gratitude for the referral. This is a very personal gift that you can give to anyone who feels disconnected. The writing is like nothing else out there. You feel like the author is your best friend and can really relate to what you're feeling. I highly recommend it!

Summary: Who is she kidding
Review: I can't believe how many people liked this incredibly stupid book! Everyone said "you've gotta read this" so I did. From the getgo I realized it is a big joke! This book is like that old story about the Emperor's New Clothes! They're all saying it is "meaningful" but the real truth is that there is no meaning at all in it! The author cloaks obtuse psycho-babble in metaphors which sound "deep" but mean absolutely nothing! Save your money for a new dress!

Summary: Moving
Review: This is by far the best book that I have read in a long time. It is a must read for anyone reflecting on their life and moving toward the process of self-discovery. What Vanzant says makes sense. She gives us permission to live our lives the best we know how and to find forgiveness for what choices we make "In the Meantime". She gives us hope for finding the devine experience of true self love and for unconditional love of others.

Summary: In The Meantime "Walks Away"
Review: I, along with "others", truly found myself and enjoyed this book. "We" enjoyed it so much that someone, (I assume it was the "others")actually stole the book from me @ work. Instead of getting upset, I decided that Iyanla needed to help someone else. I hope that whoever has the book will find their "Meantime". Although it will be at my expense, I can only say that it was my pleasure helping them find themselves.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: this book tells the painful truth about ourselves
Review: what shocked me about this book and why i was unable to stop reading it, even though it made me angry and teary eyed, is that it seemed like it was written about me! and it made me realize that most of us do feel the same and have the same issues and concerns and fears about love and and how to love. It is simply the truth about all of us.
