Summary: Flipped, is great
Review: This may seem silly, but i bought the book because i liked the upside down baby chick on the cover. Then i went to read it, and it was so interesting. I loved how Wendelin put the story in two different perspectives, one of Julianna and one of Bryce. I also loved how she would have Bryce tell one part of the story, and then Juli would tell the same part again, but in her perspective.
This story was so good, you wouldn't beleive how hopeful it made you feel. You felt happy when one was happy, but when one was angry, you felt there anger inside of you as well. It is amazing how books can do that to you.
This book is about a girl named Juli and a boy named Bryce. Bryce is just moving into a house nextdoor to Juli. They are first graders at the time and it goes until they are in the eighth grade. Juli at first sight loves Bryce, but he has different feelings. He thinks she is annoying, plain, and dull. As time goes on, many events happen that change their minds, and as they grow up, many things change.
If you like books, at all, you need to read this book. I guaruntee you will love it.

Summary: GREAT!
Review: I am a 7th grade student and I am in a book club. This was the book to read for the month of November-December. I started reading it and I fell in love. The detail added in the book is wonderful. It's an eye-catching book with a chickling on the plain white cover, up-side-down. What else would catch your attention and make you think, "What's that supposed to do with the book?" Obviously, something, and that something you shouldn't miss out on! It's a true "non-putter-downer". A book that you really have to keep going with. So much fun to read, and very entertaining. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Review: ... "Love may make life confusing but without love would you want to live? "
Have you ever had an obsessive crush on someone who doesn't like you back? Juli Baker did! Juli Baker had a crush on Bryce. They had lots of classes together, but the best part is they lived just across the street! When Bryce's family first moved in Juli saw it was love at first sight! Have you ever experienced love at first sight? Do you believe in it?
The genre of this book was realistic- fiction because lots of the events in the plot and conflict absolutely could take place in real life. But it is not based off of a true story. Lots of people I know have liked this book. I defiantly recommend it.
This book was excellent because it showed the conflict from both Julis side of view and Bryce's, so it would be good for boys and girls. In addition to that this book was very humorous and enjoyable to read. For example there is a point in the book when Bryce and his friend are looking through Juli's fence to try to see if any of the chickens she raised were roosters. They were doing this because Bryce's dad said the previous night at dinner that Bryce is a wuss and needed to be more brave when it came to Juli. So he gave him the mission of finding out how many of her chickens were roosters. He was supposed to ask her that day at school. You'll have to read the book to find out what happens and if any of her chickens were roosters. Boys and girls would like this book. I think this is more of a middle school book because it deals with love and more teenage topics like that. The type of people who would like this book are people who enjoy reading because this is defiantly one of the funniest books I have read as well as one of the best books I have read. Lots of teenagers can relate to this book. This was one of those books you didn't want to put down! It was not hard to say focused on the book. This style of writing was a little more difficult than other books I have read, only because it goes from Bryce telling what happened to Juli's side of the story. It made it a little bit harder, but it also made it very fun to read!

Summary: FLIPPED
Review: The day Bryce Loski moved in, Juli Baker, age 7 at the time, was ecstatic. She had always wanted someone to play with in the neighborhood. The moment she saw his blue eyes, she completely flipped. The moment Bryce saw her, he ran. To him, she was an annoying girl who loved an ugly tree and was impossible to avoid. To Juli, he was a handsome blue eyed guy walking around with her first kiss. Then in eight grade, everything flipped. Juli found herself looking beyond those beautiful blue eyes, to the real Bryce Loski, the jerk...and Bryce finally realizes the girl who loves trees, who gets straight A's in class, who he's tried so hard to avoide for 6 years isn't what she used to be anymore.
"Flipped", written in two people's point of views(Juli's and Bryce's),is a touching story about looking beyond the surface, what really matters. I really enjoyed this book. It made me think about how often people fail to look beyond the surface, like the characters in "Flipped".

Summary: Book Review - Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen
Review: "All I ever wanted was Julia Baker to leave me alone; to back off. You know give some space."

Flipped is a realistic fiction book, it's about a girl named Julia that started liking a boy named Bryce when they were seven years old. She would always be chasing him around trying to get a kiss from him. Julia also thought he had the most amazing blue eyes. But Bryce on the other hand never liked Julia. He thought she was the weirdest person there could be . she had chickens in the back yard; she would bring eggs to his house every morning. But seven years later everything changes little by little.

I recommend this book because it's funny how Julia and Bryce tell the same story differently. For example Julia said the first time they met she could tell that they were going to kiss except that Bryce's mom interrupted, while Bryce said that his dad and him thought she was weird; hyper; annoying and nosey. I think people ages 11-18 would enjoy this book. Girls would like this book more then boys would. This book was a page turner because it mad you want to know what would happen next. I enjoyed the writing style of the book because one chapter is Bryce telling the story then the other chapter is Julia telling the same story but different.

Review: Hi I'm Lynnsey, an 8th grader at Huntley Middle School. My book review is on Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen. This book is about 2 kids, i being Bryce and the other being Juli. Bryce has always wanted to get away from Juli. He always wanted her to "leave him alone." But Juli has had a crush on him ever since he moved in across the street from her. This book is filled with intreage, adventure, romance, and disappointment. It leaves room for imagination. What i liked most about this book was that i could relate to both Juli and Bryce.
So, to find out more about this book, just go to your local library and check it out or buy it. I really suggest you buy it because then you could read it over and over again. I want to read again because every time you read it you learn more and more about it. Thank you so much for reading my review, Happy Reading!!!

Summary: Flipped
Review: When I bought Flipped I expected a love story about to poeple who at first liked each other as friends but then changed their relationship to like/love. Boy, borders really screwed their summary up. I hadnt known it was a humorous novel. I must say it was boring....very boring. Byrce didnt know if he liked Juli or not. He didnt know if he wanted her around or not. And when Juli would write her chapter she changed how Bryce reacted from what Bryce had written. (Ex. Bryce: When she found the eggs were not broken i just yelled " We're......
Juli: When I saw the eggs were not broken he just looked down at the floor..." ) It got VERY Annoying

Summary: This book was about two children's points of view. A boy named Bryce and a girl named Julianna. Bryce moves in to across the street from Julianna and she liked him and thought they would be friends, but Bryce thinks she's annoying and he makes excuses why he can't come outside to play with her. There is a sycamore tree that Julianna love to climb and she gets an amazing feeling when she climbs high enough, but one day it is cut down. She tries to save the tree by sitting in it so they don't cut it down she tries to get Bryce to help her but he gets on the bus. Her chickens start to lay eggs and two of her neighbors were buying them from her so she gave some to Bryce every week and every week he threw them out until one day she saw them and she was very upset and didn't talk to him for awhile till he really apologized. Then he made fun of her uncle that was mentally retarded, and when his parent invited her family to dinner Bryce tried to apologize, but she locked herself into a room. At the end he plants her a sycamore tree and then she likes him again.

Recommendation: I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to hear two sides of a story. I liked this book right away because it is so unique.

Review: I liked this book because it was different to read about main characters in your book. Right away I liked this book because it was so unique. I think that a male might enjoy this book because there is a male main character in it, but I think a female would enjoy it more.

Summary: Flipped! A must read book!!!!
Review: The book Flipped is about two neighbors, Bryce and Juli. It starts out as Juli having a mayjor crush on Bryce but he hates her! He tries everything to get her to stop liking him. Bryce does some stupid things during the seven years that she likes him. Finally Bryce sees the true side of Juli. The roles get flipped when Bryce starts to like Juli and Juli hates Bryce! I really liked this book a lot. I especially liked it when Juli would not get out of the tree because she liked it so much. Also I liked the fact that the cover really makes you think about what it is about. I thought the book was really funny which is something that I like about books. I thought the part about the basket boys was funny and really cute. Something that I really enjoyed about Juli was that she has so much determination. When she wants to get something done she does it and doesn't just talk about it. Also I liked the part when you learn about Juli's family background. One thing that I didn't like was that one chapter was Bryce telling his side of the story and the next was Juli retelling the story in her own words. I think many people like this book. The book really leaves you hanging. What will happen with Juli and Bryce? Will they have a future together? Find out by reading the book Flipped.

Summary: Good book
Review: I think that this book was a really good book. I really liked how each chapter was a different point of view from each person. I thought that was a really good technique for writing books. I also think that the book taught you a really good lesson to. I think that the lesson was to never judge a person by what they look like on the outside and to get to know them before you start to judge them. I think this is a really good lesson to be learned.
