Rating: Summary: Excellent Book for the Beginner and the Expert!!!!! Review: This is a Great Book for the Beginner in that it does not bog you down with unimportant information and it is a Great Book for the Expert to reference in case you can not recall the syntax for particular line of code. This is a GOT-TO-GET!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Great for newbies! Review: If you're just starting HTML, this is a great book to get. It's easy to follow and understand.
Rating: Summary: Excellent HTML introduction for beginners Review: I just started to lean HTML by myself and I found this book helpful. It explains the concept yet not cluttered by details
Rating: Summary: Don't leave home without it! Review: I am a professional Web developer. I used the 3rd edition all the time for reference and it has even gotten me out of a couple sticky spots. I recommend this book when people ask me what to read. I can't wait to get ahold of the 4th edition!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book as intro as well as reference Review: You can't go wrong with this book if you need to get on with html as quick as possible. Good intro as well as reference material. You may want to skip some pages or sections. It's not written to be read cover to cover. If you do so, you may get bored.
Rating: Summary: An excellent guide for the beginner! Review: This book is an excellent guide for the beginner. I was able to build my own web site from scratch and use styles, frames, and tables in the design. Everything is explained well and there is a picture of what the code looks like and the results of it. Both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator are shown in the examples and the differences between them pointed out in detail. Well worth the investment.
Rating: Summary: Good "Start-Me-Up" for Newbies! Review: Web page making can be intimidating if you do not know any HTML whatsoever. This book gives examples of what the code can do, and it gives you the full code source on the side (along with great descriptions) so you can see how it turned out the way it did. Great book for beginners, but not so great as a "quick-find resource guide" professionals need. At the price, it is practically given away!
Rating: Summary: Excellent book, but also check out the web! Review: I had some initial trouble with this book, because the pieces were there but I didn't know how they all fitted together. I then did a couple of HTML tutorials on the web...and came back to this book. The book is great now that I know how each HTML tag fits in the overall scheme. After this one, I would like a book that would teach me how to use tables the way professional designers do.
Rating: Summary: Real Good Book Review: I am a beginner at HTML and for being a 13 year old kid, this book was really good. It was clear and consice but it still used simple easy to understand vocabulary. Once you read it, you want to read even more. I couldn't believe how easy and informative it was. It was palmsize so it was easy to hold and handle. I give it 5 stars!
Rating: Summary: This book is bout it! Review: It teaches someone who knows nothing about html and turns them into a pro in almost no time at all. Elizebeth is a excellent writer
