Summary: Error to my review below
Review: Read my review below....

there is one error- when I said "One is just as good or better than other ballads like Orion and Ktulu", I meant to say "One is just as good or better than other ballads like Fade to Black and Unforgiven". And I forgot to tell about To Live Is to Die, the instrumental on this album. That is a very good instrumental that is not quite as good as Orion but I think it is as good as The Call of The Ktulu.

A good album- go and get it!

Summary: A Great Listen...
Review: This is by far Metallica's most developed and evolved album. Their lyrics, while keeping the flair of violence that we all know and love, come from down deeper. The track "One" alone is a reason to buy this. The way James just works himself up into a frenzy singing this song is positively great. Buy this now.

Summary: Their last truly heavy album
Review: "Justice" is the second best album by Metallica and last before going commercial. Although the songs are long (the title track is over 9 minutes) and the album is 65 minutes long, it is far from tiresome. Every song rocks. Hard (not a word I associate with Metallica, anymore).

Summary: My favorite Metallica album!!!!!!
Review: Although some people would disagree and although there are some problems with the album (being the poor production--more on that later), in my opinion this is the greatest Metallica album of all time. The songwriting here is just excellent which I think even surpasses RtL and Puppets. Although some people whine about the poor production (which is true- the drums sound weird and you can't hear any bass at all), it's not a real big problem. The songs don't really sound that bad. The album starts out with a really good song with a nice intro, Blackened. And Justice For All and Eye of the Beholder are really also cool (the ending of Beholder especially). "One" is a ballad which is just as good or even better then Orion and Ktulu; and has a great powerful ending. The Shortest Straw is the 2nd fastest song on the album and has two excellent guitar solos. The Shortest Straw is my favorite song on the album. Harvester of Sorrow is allright. The Frayed Ends of Sanity is LONG but you won't get tired of it. And the album ends with Dyers Eve--one of (in my opinion) the 3 fastest Metallica songs (dyers eve, Damage Inc and Trapped Under Ice). It's extremely heavy and has a lightning fast solo. Overall, a great album with terrific songwriting!!! Highly reccommended album to all metal fans and all rock in fans in general!!!

Summary: Metallica rules
Review: This is the greatest Cd ever made. Lars Ulrich is the BEST drummer ever. Just listen to Shortest Straw, Blackened or Frayed ends of Sanity. They sll rule. The best song on the CD is "One". It changes from dark and melodic to loud and fast. Another reason why it is great is it is like an orchestra of guitars. They don't play traditional metal, they turn it into something totally different and that is what MADE Metallica. If people say it is too long then they don't have any patience. No song is shorter than 5 minutes but get it anyway. This is a perfect masterpiece.

Summary: ... Good but not the Best
Review: There is good songs on this album especially One or Blackened. but a lot of them drive me boring! The Frayed.., The Short ..., Eye ..., this song are really too long . However this album are definitively better than Load an Reload !

Summary: a metallica different once again
Review: every metallica CD from the 80s had a new approach to musical competence. Peaking with master of puppets, metallica proved to rise above other bands of metal from that time period. With almost deafening texture and dynamics from the group, they redefined what a band should sound like. With this album, their masterful arranger, cliff burton alas died, as a result, the production and sound of the band is also completely different. The negative lyrics now have to do with the evils and peril of government, rather than the excess of power like puppets. It is not a fun album to listen too, the singing is blunt and unmelodic most of the time, with the exception of the lyrical "one", but it is one of the most complex guitar work ever by them. I rate it a 4 because of the poor production work (probably from trying to fit in newbee jason newstead in) and not as mellow lyrical singing as before. still an album worth listening too.

Summary: The album that made Metallica known to everybody.
Review: Mettalica is an originator of slash metal. And Justice For All is the fourth album of Metallica. The video clip of "One" gave strong impression to musicians of that time. Not only the orchestrations but also lyrics are nice.

This album is the last of slash metal album. After this album Metallica quit slash metal. This album is released in the transition from heavy and agressive metallica to lyrical metallica. Guitar distortion is very different from that of Master Of Puppets.
