Rating: Summary: Need I say more? Review: Let's face it.I started listening to Metallica with ReLoad(LOL).I though it was good.I then bought The black album and thought it was better. Then I got the rest of them and this stands out best. The best songs are "One","To Live is To Die","Eye of the Beholder",and "Dyer's Eve".This is the album that will make you scream, but also make you tingle;the album that sports the most epic Metallica sound. At the top of the mountain is the fact that at this point they still are thrash, plain and simple. It sounds fresh even 11 years after the release. If you are a Metallica fan and don't have this album, you are missing out on probably their best work.
Rating: Summary: Wow Review: This is blazing metal. It would have been their best if it wasn't for the shoddy sound production. That aside, it is their second best effort, right behind Puppets.
Rating: Summary: This is the crappiest cd ever made. I like the band though. Review: The band is awsome, but there is only some good songs on it. So, I wouldn't buy it. I would rather by rap than this.
Rating: Summary: Good, but not quite their best Review: This is a good CD but I fail to see how it's Metallica's best. A few songs on this album can be considered in the same league as the songs on Lightning and Puppets. These are "Blackened" (the best song on the disc & one of the band's best), "Eye of the Beholder", "One" and "Harvester of Sorrow". The others are good, but substandard compared to the likes of "Creeping Death" and "Master of Puppets". Overall, the sound of this album suffers, probably from the production. There's something about the sound of the guitars that doesn't sit right with me; they're a bit muddy sounding.
Rating: Summary: Definitely their Best! Review: This CD is Metallica's best work. It has more feeling than the earlier albums, and more energy than the later, slower albums. This CD has some of their best songs, even if the recording isn't that great. (Also, James doesn't do that "Yeah-heh" thing at the end of every line- a definite plus!) If you want a doog Metallica CD, I suggest that you buy ". . .And Justice for All."
Rating: Summary: Faster Faster Review: This is one of the fastest heavy metal album ever. I love ...and justice for all. Blackened and Harvester Of Sorrow are great. But most of all "One". One is probably my favorite Metallica song of all time. I can never get tired of that song. I can never get tired of the album and There is no other like it. Buy it, and you will love it.
Rating: Summary: Gretest sample of metal ever made Review: Plainly, this is the greatest metal album ever made. The songs are fast and ferocious, but not obscenely so. The pure epicness of the entire album gives it a unique place in the Metallica collection. The only spoiler is the terrible production job - the band sounds muffled, and I can't seem to hear Jason's bass at all. That being said, It's their best album to date. Kirk proves that he is without a doubt one of the two or three best guitarists in the world. James showed that he has some vocal talent on "One", but he showed all the fury that he now seems to lack. Lars' drumming is much better here than anywhere else. Its albums like this that make me cringe when I hear the stuff that people call heavy metal today.
Rating: Summary: What can I say - great, great, great! Review: One of their best, taking me back to the good old days. "One" begs to be played over and over again to the point of no return, and I willingly oblige!
Rating: Summary: And justice for...those who seek ultimate headbanding bliss! Review: A devine encounter of metal made for spiritually troubled human beings ...that's what comes to mind when one gets to listen this album.Aggresive as can be ,yet with tracks that come face to face with reality. With no shadow of a doubt , a "dark" force drives all inconceivable riffs and drum patterns from serenity to a prelude of madness.Production of the album?Amazingly different when compared to it's predeccesors ,yet unique in a way .No more bubbling ... Listen to the album and forget anything you knew up till now about metal rules and conformity of any kind...
Rating: Summary: Yesss! This is it !!!! Review: The pure riffing-madness of this fantasic album made it my all-time-favorite CD. It's simply a must-have.
