Summary: EXCELLENT, SUPERB
Review: I read this book in one sitting! I could not put it down. It was gripping and suspensful. The tennage characters were great, and all the pieces began to fall together as you read on. I highly recommend this book to anyone! It has been a long time since a book has held my undivided attention and caused me to think of characters as my own friends.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Painfully slow
Review: The plot had such potential then offered very little. To many characters undeveloped I like to know my characters feel thier pain, happiness ect. I was not able to connect. The ending was also a source of great disappointment Too bad.

Summary: a great book for everybody
Review: I strongly recommend this book, I think there isn't anything more to say. A great story with wonderful characters and so well written you will just keep reading until you finish it. Wonderful. A book to read one time and another and another.

Summary: A true heartbreaker
Review: I read this book last summer on the beach. It was one of the best books I've read in a long time! It really makes you stop and think -- about how far you would be willing to go for someone you loved. To an extent the characters were selfish -- but then again -- isn't most of today's society? A girlfriend of mine gave me the book. Once I finished reading it, we found ourselves discussing it for hours on end.

It's been almost a year and I still catch myself thinking about that book!

Summary: "A Love Story" ? Ugh!
Review: Although "entertaining," the storyline was implausible and left too many questions unanswered. The characters were a bunch of the most selfish, self-centered people I've encountered in a novel in a long time. Just what is the author trying to say about love? A book that definitely does NOT leave the reader with any good feelings at all!

Summary: I loved it! I couldn't put it down.
Review: The Pact is one of the best books I've read in a long time. I couldn't stop reading. I had to know what was going to happen. I read the book in one day. It was impossible for me to put it down.

Summary: I just couldn't stop thinking about this book!
Review: Stayed up way past my bedtime to finish The Pact. The realistic depiction of the characters and their feelings was terrific. Sensitive and beautiful story. Anyone looking for characters who are so real that you can touch them should read this marvelous book! Keep 'em coming, Jodi Picoult!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Love story???
Review: This was a very compelling novel, so I'll give it four stars. I'm puzzled, however, by the "love story" description. What I read was a story full of characters who were selfish, self-centered, and oftentimes cruel. Even Chris. Think about it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book absolutely blew me away!!!
Review: I don't usually write reviews but her writing just keep me spellbound. The dialogue and the character interaction was great. This is a love story that you will never forget. The story has family problems and the crisis that everyone can relate to. This is a must read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!!
Review: This book blew me away! I have never read a book that actually took my breath away but this one did. Jodi Picoult does a masterful job of defining a love so intense that not even family members could come close to understanding the depth of Chris & Em's relationship. From the accounts of childhood play, to the awakening of their bodies as young adults, to the courtroom drama, this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I cried when I finished the book -- I didn't want the story to end.
