Summary: Clarity at its best
Review: The other recommended book to read along with this one is Laura Ingraham's "Shut Up And Sing". Both clarify the insidious undertow that exists in our country today. Both books attempt to wake people up to the reality around them. Michael hits on all my hot buttons. He confirms what I have seen with my own experience in the education system, the prurient lifestyles, etc., etc. We've both been on this planet for about the same time'him a little longer, but we both draw on our memories of the positive things of the past that have been totally trampled by the current judicial system and the ACLU et al's total lack of moral compass. We both see the unrelenting attack on our senses with things that are literally forced down our throat. The single star 'reviewers' who did not read the book are really the preachers of hate. Open your eyes, sheeple!

Summary: Welcome to the Jungle
Review: Tired of the liberal media, public school and incumbent indoctrination? Sit back and open this book. It will make you think about all the supposed facts you've been force fed from childhood. Then ask yourself if the liberals would be so hostile if this book didn't hit a home run.

Summary: Rants or reviews?
Review: Good grief people. If you listen to the man's show, you know what you are going to read in this book. Frankly I find it amazing how many Savage bashers have read*cough-yeah right* this book and want to offer up a little hatred of their own. I listen to Savage on the radio and at times I do find him extreme but the comparisons to Hitler? If you are going to write a review about the book great, but don't write what a hate monger and narrow minded individual he is in one breath, and turn around and call all Republicans and conservatives narrow minded and stupid in the next. You make a really weak point. So to recap, if you like his show buy it. If you don't, rant and rave about it on Amazon to no one who cares and don't buy the book.

Summary: "Savage" Entertainment!!
Review: I found this book so entertaining!!! Mr. Savage really should be a comedian!!! I was laughing so hard through a lot of the book!
You can tell he is a old New Yorker with some grit! I think his first book was a little more informative as this one seems to do a little more ranting and raving. Not as many facts, but a very unique point of view that gets you thinking, which is the whole point of someone like Mr. Savage. You do not always have to like what he says but you can appreciate his desire to "kick up the dust" a little.............you have to respect him for that. I find it a little hard to believe people actually have the nerve to come on here and critique a book that they probably haven't read. (What is up with that?) He may put on a "show" of sorts but with his background, I think most of his views are probably pretty genuine. Who also has the nerve to suggest that it is all an act? (I suppose we will never really know now will we? Don't they all to some extent? Probably an actor suggested this!) I suppose it was an act when MSNBC fired him? I really don't think so, if anything he sounds a little bitter.
He encourages Americans to be independent thinkers.......not necessarily to think exactly like him. (I have not watched or listen to him on TV or radio) This is the impression I get from his books. He is a very intelligent and well educated man, which comes out a little better in his first book. I am a little startled at what seems to be the lack of good writing abilities. I think he would be more convincing if he tried to get his points across in a more factual, articulate manner. He tends to write and sound like the very type of American that he is always trying to tell to "wake up", which I find very ineffective..........overall a good read if you have an open mind and want a good laugh and be entertained!!!!!

Summary: Not as Angry as You May Think
Review: Michael Savage - a man with an opinion about everything - has certainly earned his success, earning favor with left and right alike for his "telling-it-like-it-is" method of talk-showing. He is nearly the antithesis of Bill O'Reilly, but useful in his own right.

That said, his book is actually quite similar to his first book, "The Savage Nation". The book is footnoted (albeit not as much as an Ann Coulter book), referenced and fun. Savage's view of a national conspiracy in every event is a tad obnoxious at times, but this book is destined to do well.

Summary: Improvement over his first book, but needs more refinement.
Review: Dr. Savage is a strongly opinioned man who has developed a very effective formula for conveying his message on the radio. However he has yet to master the printed word. While his views are interesting and provocative, he nevertheless writes as though he's speaking to complete morons. He keeps interjecting personal stories which, while some find them appealing, for others they are a constant distraction from his message.
What is his message? Apparently Dr. Savage believes a communist takeover is underway in the United States and he offers compelling observations to back that view up. Still, his effort to write a piece of literature to act as guide and rallying point will only meet with success when he drops all the carnival distractions of sarcastic labels and personal memoirs (which works well on the radio) and instead dedicates himself to an intellectual and well constructed appeal to the mind.
By breaking his train of thought to fill the reader with seven or eight paragraphs of apparent gibberish, only to finally demonstrate the connection after the reader has taken a leap of faith to read through the fodder, Dr. Savage displays both condescension and arrogant presumption in his writing style. I for one hope he eventually writes a political thesis which caters more to the audience intended for his other academic level works.

Summary: True Patriot
Review: For once it is inspiring to hear someone speak on values and morals in America without bowing to political correctness. Dr. Savage tells it like it is, and charges head-on into the evil and trecherous sink-hole which is liberalism.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: He knows what's going on
Review: Michael Savage tells it like it is and he doesn't set out to cozy up with the PC police.....the liberal leftist media in this country. He know that the people who hate Bush are the same people that hate God and Israel! The fact that the ACLU is a subversive organization is of course true, but only Michael wil come out and say it. This book is mind boggling and will tell you exactly what the mainstream media won't! Its among my favorites along with Arrogance, Biased and anything by Ann Coulter

Summary: Readers Whining About His Book
Review: Michael Savage's new book puts the spotlight on the dangers of the liberal worldview which wants all of us to think alike, talk alike and act alike. Political correctness is a form of thought control that is unquestionably successful with young children going to public schools and colleges but is much less successful for those who have matured and learned to think independently. If only they could control all of us.

I echo the valid criticism voiced here that liberals should at least read the book before making comment. Still, that is their gameplan to trash anyone who disagrees with them and try to silence thoughtful and intelligent conservatives. Take the comment from Lake Oswego, OR. where the liberal writer ends his/her comments with calling those who would read the book "fools." The consistent resort of liberals to name-calling their opponets reveals the weakness of their cause. When their argument fails, as it usually does, they try to silence you by calling you a bigot, fool, racist, homophobe, judgmental, narrow-minded, etc.

Savage makes a compelling and clear case against the worldview the liberals wish to push on all of us. He exposes the dangers of their attacks on the church, synagogues, military, faith, history, capitalism and other foundations of American society. Believe me, it is not the liberal's worldview that made America great nor will it make it better in the future. In fact, just the opposite.

If you admire Jacque Chirac and want the US to be like France, then you probably will not like this book. If you believe, as I do, that America can continue to be the greatest country in the world despite it's faults, then read this book and take action against those who would discredit and destroy the solid foundations this country was built on.

Summary: The Savage Nation part deux
Review: After reading "The Savage Nation," I was shocked at what is going on in America today. I was even more surprised after buying and reading "The Enemy Within" yesterday. Mike Savage goes further than his previous bestseller, "The Savage Nation" and digs up more crap from the extreme liberal lefties (and goes into gory detail on how they are affecting America and American values). Those who are giving one star ratings should take a good look around themselves and their country. The reason for the 4 star rating is due to mild grammatical errors (if I could, I'd give this 4 and a half stars because the grammatical errors are very few and far between). Otherwise, this makes for a fine read and discussion amongst friends/enemies.
