Summary: Forunate Son Speaks to the Fortunate Ones
Review: Michael A. Weiner, Ph.D. a/k/a Michael Savage, talk show host from San Francisco, California...literate, clear, erudite. Dr. Savage is an important voice in the wilderness of AM radio "political entertainment" and this book serves as a hornbook for the year 2004, ironically, the Chinese Year of the Monkey. However this IS NOT just another in the stream of "political" books, and Dr. Savage challenges thinking much more than he entertains.Dr. Savage takes on one of the most difficult concepts facing the United States today: What is an American? If we put the "Native American" agenda in its own category--they were really "pre-Americans" although their descendants can certainly claim the identity "American". Dr. Savage, well-educated researcher with doctorate from the great University of California at Berkeley, has distilled these elements down to three--Borders, Language, and Culture. Secure borders, primacy of the English language, and assimilation into the mainstream traditional American democratic, capitalist, individualist, heterosexual, Judeo-Christian is, as he sees it, the great agenda conceived of by the Founding Fathers of this nation, and protected with the Constitution, tricamerate Federal government, and Bill of Rights. Many have risked the last full measure of their devotion to their dreams to come to America and assimilate. The "multicultural" New America is clearly NOT Michael Savage's America. The America that will not allow the Boy Scouts--through the Red Diaper Doper Babies (attorneys) of the American Civil Liberties Union (fox in sheep's clothing) to camp or run activities on "government" property--having won the right to promote its priniciples in Government Courts....is the false America. This nation of three hundred million in a world of five billion needs, so Savage argues, to get back to attending to its own business. And THE ENEMY WITHIN traces the erosion of taking care of business back to the 1960s, and names names. I believe any reasonably intelligent, literate, open-minded person will benefit through reading Savage's analyses. Those who listen to Dr. Savage will see that, contrary to what they may have HEARD, he has an open mind to reasoned arguments. Dr. Savage forsees a great danger of a Fascist America. So, younger readers, who do not know Fascism's many cloaks, may need to read beyond and ask questions. For many decades, Fascism was to many German Nazism. However, it is not. It is a system in which the government regulates information and thought, and propaganda is its greatest instrument. And propaganda is the talent of the many who would reduce America to just some other country, not a country that rose to greatness in less than 200 years, and has been capable of bringing down its most threatening external foes. However, the enemies within--those who would turn the structure of the nation to rubble, to communism, socialism, fascism, will require retrenched and thoughtful patriotism, not merely flag waving. I see this as the most important message of this book, and I recommend it highly to Americans or would-be Americans most highly.

Summary: A brash, honest voice...
Review: The uninformed would like you to believe that this book is full of inaccuracies and hate speech. Some feel that Savage is part of some Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Facts hurt. Inaccuracies? Would CNN be considered an inaccurate source? Well Savage uses CNN throughout the book, and he's one of their harshest critics. Just check the footnotes. Hate speech? Hardly. If these critics were to listen to his radio show, they'd hear conservative minorities call in frequently. If he were frothing hate speech, why would anyone give him the time of day, least of all minorities? No, Savage just doesn't approve of the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, who promote reverse discrimination. Vast Right Wing Conspiracy? Well if it does exist, then Savage certainly doesn't have a very high standing among the heavyweights. He has vehemently attacked President Bush on a variety of issues, and for that reason, characters like Hannity dislike Savage. Savage even takes a discrete shot at O'Reilly near the end of this book(but you didn't hear it from me). So if you are willing to step beyond the typical liberal slander present in other reviews, you'll find this book informative, shocking, saddening, and entertaining. He creates a strong case against the likes of the ACLU and the NEA. You'll learn about the liberal assault on the family and traditional family values. You won't find hate speech, but you will find strong, solid speech. This is a good book, and I suggest it for anyone who is concerned for our America.

Summary: excellent read if you are lucid & love your children/family
Review: Wow, among these reviews one really can tell which reviewers eat the media propaganda and hatred, and which see through the fog that is our country today. Savage spells it out in his book without a care for political correctness, hypersensitivity, fear, or any of the other weak-minded afflictions handicapping our declining Western culture. Have you observed homosexuality chipping away at our nation's morality? Maybe you've noticed the prevailing problem in the black community is the lack of family unity, especially fatherhood, resulting in the misdirection and tendency toward violence among black youth? Are you angry that this movement might affect your children? Savage shoulders the hatred and hypocrisy of the left so that you may renew your strength, knowing that despite what you are being told elsewhere, you are not alone. The Enemy Within, and Savage's success, is evidence that the silent majority is with you.

Summary: PROOF our society needs to be rescued fromt he left.
Review: I frankly can't see where some of these reviewers are getting that this book is fabricated facts and half-truths. Dr. Savage is simply laying out the facts (all documented) as a call to arms againt the left. If this frightens you, or if it's easier for you to call the author a liar, you're part of the problem. He is simply saying to rise up for your beliefs or watch as our society slips into a secular state, a la France and Canada.

Summary: Any rating less then a 4 stars and you haven't read the book
Review: This book is great, it's loaded with facts and they are all referenced in the back. This book is verifiable record of the attack by liberals on our Schools, Faith and Military. You will be shocked or angered because of the disgusting filth coming from the mainstream left to be taught to our children in schools. If you enjoy being a useful idiot this is not the book for you. For those of us that don't only get our news from television, much of the information in this book is past events with new commentry. If you haven't been keeping up with events from many news sources or you are only reading the mainstream media garbage, then the stories in this book will be quite suprising to you.

Summary: Will not be liked by the ideologues on the Left
Review: This book will be hated. It and it's author will be called all the things that the Left has been calling such for decades. They will shriek "Hitler!" and "Fascist!" and all the worn out descriptors they obsessively overuse, but be not afraid of words and thoughts. This book is excellent in describing the symptoms of a dying culture and nation. Savage uses his unique style to propel these anecdotes as simple indicators of what is killing this country. It's not pedantic, or is the data microscopically detailed. It isn't supposed to be - and it doesn't claim to be. If you expect that - go back to college and read some insipid nonsense your Liberal professor will insist on. But if you expect honest and realistic discussion that is heart-driven, and hits on the issues we all see and know (which many of us are simply afraid to speak of), then you found a home here. It's not a hateful book at all, regardless of what nonsense is said in some reviews. The ideologues, like most insects, simply can't stand the honest light.

Review: You stated (about the single "underprivileged" mom):
The damage does not stop at the checkout line. The food purchased by the woman (actually by me, the taxpayer), consisted of overpriced, prepackaged rot. As such, I will also have the responsibility for paying the health care costs for the overweight offspring as they blossom into obesity. Well, not only that, when they eat that cheap junk, those fat little Mexican kids end up with the highest rate of diabetes. It can be prevented, but their moms feed them junk food. Then, well all pay for the consequences that in the health care system. One more blow against the taxpayer. It never ends!!!!!

Review: To me, people like Michael Savage are just what the Right needs; for DECADES the Left has employed the "politics of attack." Now, finally, people like Savage and Colmes and Coulter have had enough and have decided to play the Left's dirty game, and the left doesn't like it!

Review: Once again Michael Savage puts out a book more acurate and truthfull than anything else anyone has ever seen. A bitter pill that the demo-commies will choke on for a moment when they take a split second away from raping the country, familiy, church, schools, and everything else they have perpetuated their blatent hatred towards. This should be required reading in schools, in a time when anything decent is aborted .... it's comforting to know that the book has been an easy bestseller. This is not sports and cigar talk with an over paid republicrat, this book looks at the evils and harsh realities that the silenced majority dares not speak. Gloves are off as Savage pounds fists of truth into skulls that have been dumbed down into believing that they should stand aside and let creeps, deviants, .... get away with what they are doing.

Summary: If you like his 1st book you'll like this- it's the same
Review: I loved his first book, Savage Nation, where he blasted immigrants and foreigners and minorities and liberals and everything. I love that kind of stuff. That's just me. So you can imagine how happy I was when he put out this new book. I can't help but love it, because it's basically the exact same book as the 1st one. He's kind of rearranged the chapters, and apparently found a good thesaurus to help him change some of the words. But it's essentially a carbon copy of the first book, which is why I love it so much. And don't be misled by the review above. It indicates that he was slamming Ruth Bader Ginsburg by comparing her to the KKK. Actually, if you look at that statement in its entire context, he was not slamming her at all. It was meant as a complement, and Savage openly expresses his wish to have the entire Supreme Court replaced with hard core KKK leaders. I look forward to his 3rd book, which if this one is any indication, should be another brilliant retelling of his same anti-liberal, anti-immigrant hoo-ha.
