Rating: Summary: The humor wears thin...... Review: ...but the underlying message is something I've waited a very long time to hear. I could not agree more with most of his points (ie-liberalism is a mental disease, kindergartners in California should not be taught alternative sexual orientations at public schools, I do not have to accept other cultures and love them as my own simply because someone tells me I should, America is becoming far too feminized and ultimately this will lead to our demise, etc...etc...). He just does not stop, and I must applaud his courage in releasing this tome of truth. He knows he will be skewered (probably by both the Democrats and the new "Compassionate" Republicans, since he trashes both) in the press and he doesn't care. In the times we live in, its nice to know there's a few "Mike Savages" out there. Now I know I'm not alone.A very good and rare read. Better than Coulter's "Slander", and much better that Hannity's "Let Freedom Ring". You simply won't find another contemporary book quite like this. Illogical people need not apply.......
Rating: Summary: The Culture of hate, Neo-fascism, and Repeating History Review: Savage is right. This is our nation now. A place full of hate, filled with uneducated, narrow minded, patriotism overdosed and neurotic citizens mumbling some moronic discourse about historical identities from 200 years ago that have nothing to do with the 21st century. I am american. I work all over the world. I will tell you a thing I know: We have a HUGE soft spot in our belly called GLOBAL ECONOMY. It pays most of our jobs in the US, and belive it or not, most nations see ours just like Savage explains it. Never mind Madonna and Levi's Jeans. You can't bomb anyone into buying our products, and they are starting to hesitate. You can't push people around and expect them to respect you, nuclear weapons and all. So, you keep at it. Keep pumping your chest, waving flags, pushing your way around the world, promoting these fanatical, empty and unpractical neo-facist ideals you like so much. We are number one anyway, right? Last night I was in a shipping office in Barcelona's seaport when an outgoing shipment arrived for loading: 20 large trucks filled to the top with products from a well known american franchise. All products were made in the US. All were being returned. Made somewhere in Michigan I believe. Too bad. A citizen of the Independent Republic of California.
Rating: Summary: Listen and learn! Lots of food for thought... Review: I have been listening to Michael Savage's radio program for as long as it has been airing in my area. It is often preempted by sports (grrrrr!) but it is great to hear when it is on. The book reads just like a radio show. Personal, yet informative, on many topics. I believe Michael is sincere about his concern for our country's future. I have disagreed with his viewpoint at times, yet as his callers seem to do, I understand where he is coming from. My father passed away over 20 years ago, yet I find myself wondering what he would have thought of Dr. Savage (my father was a conservative white male also.) Even the most liberal reader would, in my opinion, consider this book an interesting read.
Rating: Summary: The Savage Court Review: Dr. Savage's education and life experience are plainly evident as he lays out a compelling case against the dangers of rampant, monopolous liberalism. Blow off the people who condemn The Savage Nation and decide for yourself, liberal or conservative alike, if Savage is right.
Rating: Summary: A Breath Of Fresh Air Review: In this age of politically correct, self-defeating stupidity it is so refreshing to see a book such as this one. Excellent insights, entertaining style, a biting expose of cowardly liberal lemmings and the danger they present. It makes me wonder why the lemming views are main stream, but common sense as Michael expresses isn't.. Read this book and get the others on board. It's time to take the country back from those who want to turn the United States into another Turd World wasteland.
Rating: Summary: Unintelligent Rhetoric Review: Although I consider myself a liberal, I feel it is important to always read the "other side's" opinion of both the liberal agenda and the conservative philosophy. I saw this book in our local bookstore and started to peruse it. What I found was the most offensive garbage I have ever read. The offense was not in the liberal-bashing that is so prevelant in these types of books, but Savage's prose was so hateful that it was disturbing. For example, he states that America should not fear Al Qaeda, that the real enemy is the "liberal agenda" (whatever that is). To suggest that an opposing political philosophy is a greater threat to America than an organization that murdered 3,000 Americans is irresponsible and written only to inflame and incite hatred. The book is full of hate. Savage offers no real facts or figures to defend any opinion he may hold. Instead, his writing contains narrow-minded, ill-informed, and socially irrelevant hyperbole. America should not fear the liberal agenda (which, by the way, believes in allowing books of this type to be published), rather they should fear the hate, disrepect, and intollerant agenda that is perpetuated by another vapid conservative talk-show host. The book states that "America is hungry for a book that reinforces patriotism, family, and traditional American values." Sadly this is not that book.
Rating: Summary: So True! Review: Although I don't always agree with what Savage says, I'm compelled to say that his book is just as great as his show! He exposes so called "progressive" politicians for the socialistic-communist-egomaniacal-hypocrites that they really are. And those who attack him by saying he spews nothing but hate, only do so because they know he's right, and the truth does hurt. Great book Savage!
Rating: Summary: What America Needs to hear Review: Dr. Savage tells it like it is, and I suppose that's why you either love the guy or hate him. Those who are truly concerned about this great nation love him because he speaks from the heart and backs it with facts and intelligence--rare commodities these days. Those that hate him have either not taken the time to understand him, or do not give a damn about America. This book is essential reading for anyone interested in learning about the dangers of the liberal assualt on our borders, language, and culture. Savage is right. Read his book before you try to judge him.
Rating: Summary: Thank you, Dr. Savage Review: This is a wonderful book. I am convinced that fifty years from now it will provide a voice to those individuals interested in obtaining a more thorough understanding of their world.
Rating: Summary: Anyone with a brain & the ability to use it will be offended Review: The book is offensive and should be read only as an example of how to close your mind in the most efficient manner. The author comes so close to making a good point, and then spews out this diatribe of hatred. Have you ever listened to his show? It is SICK. You can hear the anger and the hatred as he SHOUTS his rhetoric at everyone. Don't believe me? Look at the reviews. People with differing opinions are labelled as "Liberal Pantywaists", and "liberal [people]". The last reviewer is "prepared to go to war against the liberal ideology that is destroying mankind's last, best hope for a free, prosperous, and fulfilling life (for the liberal [people] reading this that means America!). " What do you think?
