Rating: Summary: Margaret, Australia Review: I love all of Ms Garwoods books, but this is my favorite, it is also the first of all of her books that I read. It is a story that you can't put down, and when you are finished, you mourn the lost. I really enjoy the humour, actually I enjoyed everything about this book
Rating: Summary: best julie garwood so far Review: this has to be one of the best romance books ever written.true love and passion jump off the pages. i would find myself laughing out loud at the great word play. i have read this book over and over agian.
Rating: Summary: Just plain wonderful. Review: As a long time reader of romance literature, Julie Garwood is my all time favorite writer. Honor's Splendour is another beautiful example of her work. There are few other writers who can make me laugh, cry, love, and read the same book over and over. If you liked this one, try Saving Grace.. another superb piece.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Garwood Novel! Review: I have read all of Ms. Garwood's books--and this is my favorite. You'll fall in love with the characters and the storyline. For more Garwood greats I recommend The Wedding, The Secret, The Bride--all of them. They are great!
Rating: Summary: A definite keeper! Review: This book captured me from the very first chapter. Duncan was an incredible warrior. I love it when the warriors are hard, mean and hardly ever even smile but they fall in love hard with their women. I laughed throughout the book at the crazy things Madelyne did. Especially learning the bow and arrow. Once again Julie Garwood has not disappointed me. Unfortunately I have read most of her books now and I now compare other authors to her which is really not fair...she's the best.
Rating: Summary: Blah! Review: I love Julie Garwood books, besides Judith McNaught she is my favorite author. Which is why I was so dissapointed with this novel. It is her worst novel yet. I couldn't even finish it without skipping parts.
Rating: Summary: A lovely story with endearing characters Review: I'm not really a reader of romance novels and came upon this book by accident, but I couldn't put it down. I simply loved it! Garwood created memorable characters, mixed in history, humor and love, and made this a book I re-read every few years (since '87). It's an endearing love story. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: This book is so funny! The hero is loving and the heroine is silly; together they make a great pair.
Rating: Summary: Cute! Review: I love Julie Garwood and this book is no exception. I loved the relationship between Madelyne and Duncan. I loved how she kept telling him that she was never going to speak to him again and then a minute later they were in a deep conversation. She had me in stitches when she told Duncan that if he was killed, she would find his grave and spit on it. Very cute book. I think the thing that I like most about Julie's books is that both the hero and heroine are very endearing characters.
Rating: Summary: Sweet, funny, heartwarming; it had it all:) Review: I had read a lot of Garwood's books before this one and this wasn't even one of them I really wanted to buy. BUT, it turned out to be my favorite out of any romance novel I've ever read (i've even read a lot of Sandra Brown too). The plot was good, Duncan was so sexy and charming, Madelynne was so brave, stubborn and defiant, and I felt like crying and laughing throughout the whole book. I definately recommend this book!
