Rating: Summary: RuNnInG oUt Of TiME Review: I thought running out of time was a great book. the way that it was adventurous and suspensful and even a little scary!!!! I thought the ending was ok and it was just a kinda neat story!!!! The way that she doesn't even know that shes living in a different time than it really is and they are watching her with cameras and they knew she had escaped the whole time!!!!I just thought over all it was a pretty good book!!!
Rating: Summary: wow Review: Oh my gosh! i just read ythis book for school.(which i love)I thought doing mystery novels would be boring. We didnt read this book as a class but if we had I'm sure everybody would have loved it! I mean I sure did. I thought this book was almost better than Harry Potter! I read this book in 3 days flat. Nobody could put it down. Not even some of my friends who hated to read. Well this will be one of my favorite books and I hope it will be for many others too!
Rating: Summary: An Edge of Your Seat Thriller That I Couldn't Put Down Review: I read this book when I was in fourth grade. I loved the plotline and how much real emotion the characters showed. The plotline stunned me, especially when I read that it really wasn't the 1800s. I admired Jesse for her courage to go out into an alien world and be able to end up a heroine. The ending is a blow and will leave you wanting more. I read the book at least ten times over! It was that good! I recommend this book to all my friends when they ask me for something interesting to read.
Rating: Summary: Running Out of Time Review: Hi, I'm a 13 year old boy who lives in Massachusetts. I gave this story five stars because it was a great cliffhanger. After every night's reading, I stayed up just thinking about it, and trying to predict what would happen next. I have never read any of Haddix's other books, but because of this one, I will. I never liked any historical fiction much, but this story was different. I will be first in line to buy a sequel, which I hope Haddix writes. Clifton was a truly realistic 1800's town, while the story was out of imagination. The characters, as I feel, were fully developed, but not so much as you couldn't think for yourself of what they look like.
Rating: Summary: A great book. Review: In Margaret Haddix's book, Running Out of Time, Jessie sets out on a dangerous journey. Jessie must leave 1840 and enter 1996 in search of help. She has been raised at Clifton Village, a museum-like place where things are like they were in 1840. The kids do not know that the year in the outside world is 1996. Inside the village no one knows that the founders of the village purposely stopped all modern-day medication, hopefully causing the kids to come down with diphtheria. The disaster ALMOST happens. Thanks to Jessie their plan does not work because Jessie finally succeeds in telling the world the truth of Clifton Village. Running Out of Time is a great book that is especially fun to read if you enjoy a great adventure.
Rating: Summary: The Best ! Review: I injoyed this book so much I recommended it to my Teacher and he loved it and he read it to my class and they loved it.
Rating: Summary: Running out of Time Review: The book I read was called Running out of Time. I thought that it was a really good book. I really liked the book because it was really cool how in the book it had two worlds. One world was in Clifton and the other world was in the real world which is in 1996. There was also something I didn't like about the book it was the way the parents all agreed to trick the kids into thinking it was the early 1900's. I also thought it was neat how when Jessie was in the real world and she had never seen a T.V. or a radio before. So that is why I liked the book Running out of Time.
Rating: Summary: Two Worlds Collided Review: Jessie Keyser is one of many children in the Keyser family. It is 1840, or so they say. There is a diptheria epidemic in Clifton Village. Of course, in 1840 there is no cure for diptheria- yet. Jessie's ma reveals a shocking secret. It is really 1996. The Keysers are living in a reconstructed village used as a tourist site. While Ma takes care of the very sick patients, Jessie must venture out into a high-tech world with boxes you talk into known as phones and moving pictures called TV. Without giving away the fact that she is from Clifton, can Jessie survive this strange world without running out of time?
Rating: Summary: An intreging, supenseful novel Review: This novel was very thrilling and supenseful. You could not stop reading and didn't want to wait to turn the page. I would recomend this novel to anyone who enjoys supense and adventure. This book is very good so try it and read it.
