Rating: Summary: Dont waste your time Review: I am not sure why or how this got published - it is boring and sappy. I dont think I will ever buy a patterson again. The number of times this book has the words "lucky", "happy", "love" is unbelievable. I would rate this a zero if I could.
Rating: Summary: A Total Waste of Time Review: Along Came a Spider was so great. James Patterson should stick to what he knows best. I really tried to like this book. Howver, even though it took me a little over an hour to read, I had to force myself to finish it The writing is soooo poor. Please don't waste your time and money on this dribble. Yech.....
Rating: Summary: Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas, not just for chicks! Review: After reading this book, my husband said, "Kelly you've got to read this book!" Wow, am I glad I did! James Patterson does an excellant job of taking the reader right into the hearts and lives of the characters. I almost felt like I was trespassing! What I like most about it, was the twists and suprises,I never knew what was going to happen next. An extra bonus was, the unforgetable illustration, used in keeping your priorities in check. I would recommend this book to "anyone who has ever been in love." It also touches a special place in the heart of "every parent."
Rating: Summary: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BOOK!!! Review: I cannot believe I wasted the 2 hours it took to read this novel. I could not identify with these simple, two dimensional characters who had no flaws or depth to them. Tragedy for the sake of tragedy does not make a good novel. James Patterson does not do well at writing in a woman's voice and should stick to what he knows. This book is awful, not worth the time, energy or money.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful love story Review: What a change of pace for Patterson! I really loved this book, though. It was a fast, easy read, but it made you think of love and what it's about.
Rating: Summary: Special Review: This book is a must have for anyone who has ever been in Love or had a child. It was the best book to take me away from the reality of the terrorist attack that took our county on 911.
Rating: Summary: suzanne's diary for nicholas Review: I have one word for this book, lame!. It was Love Story, Jonathan Livingston Seagull and The Bridges of Madison County all wrapped in one poorly written novel. It is loaded with erroneous information, such as: a two month old baby holding his own bottle, a one year old baby speaking many words and my favorite, radiation therapy for weakened heart valves! I bought this book as my library had 729 holds on it. After reading it, I lent it to my daughter without comment and she read the book and had the same opinion, lame.
Rating: Summary: Quick, light reading... Review: is what Patterson has put before us with this effort. It is a very moving book. I hate to say it but it has OPRAH book written all over it. It is a chick book. Not to say that is all bad, it is just a mile away from what you expect from the earlier works of James Patterson. It is the story of a woman who has just had her love life shattered as her supposed soul mate leaves her for no apparent reason. He has left her a diary of a woman who it turns out is his actual wife. The story is a combination of what is happening in real time and what is going in the diary story. It is a very fast read that will touch your heart. Is it a great book? Probably not. But it is worth the short amount of time it will take to read it. Some will love it, most will enjoy it. I liked it well enough to recommend it to others.
Rating: Summary: A struggle to understand two different lives Review: In Suzanne's Diary For Nicholas, Katie has found the perfect man - but suddenly he disappears, leaving only a diary behind. The diary is a love letter written by a new mother to her baby son Nicholas, and Katie learns about her new love as she struggles to understand his two different lives. Becky Ann Baker's voice is clear and evocative, capturing the emotion in this meaningful story.
Rating: Summary: Read it in one night! Review: It has been a LONG time since I have sat down and read an entire book in one night. This one was so captivating, I did not want to put it down. It touched me deeply, and helped me learn a lesson that applies strongly to a situation in my life at this time. In reading some of the other reviews, I see that some are disappointed because this book is so far from what James Patterson normally writes. But that, to me, is the mark of a truly great writer, when they can write from a totally different standpoint, and have it reach out to you so strongly. It was very apparent that this was a part of him he was expressing. Thank you for this book Mr. Patterson!
