Summary: Even a person as smart as an amoeba knows this isn't funny!
Review: Gee, I just crack up when I read a stupid weight joke! NOT! If you think this book is funny, then you belong in the moneran category of living organisms. (moneran are the lowest) And if you actually AGREE with this book, well, sorry, but you have about the same intelligence as a rock.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: OFFENSIVE, THEN HUMOROUS, THEN BORING.
Review: I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THIS TAPE FOR MYSELF. IT WAS GIVEN AS A GIFT FOR CHRISTMAS. I ONLY LISTENED TO THIS TAPE OUT OF DEFERENCE TO THE DEAR GIVER IN A DEMONSTRATION OF OPEN MINDEDNESS.. I FOUND MR. FRANKEN'S BOOK INSIPID, FACETIOUS AND GENERALLY OFFENSIVE. HIS ATTEMPT AT DEMONSTRA TING "ABSURDITY WITH ABSURDITY" WORKS FOR MORE PROFESSIONAL POLITICAL COMMENTATORS LIKE THE NAME SAKE OF MR. FRANKEN'S BOOK. HE SHOULD LEAVE LEGITIMATE POLITICAL COMMENT TO THOSE MORE PRACTICED. MR. FRANKEN SEEMS TO BE OBCESSED WITH OBECITY LIKE MR. LIMBAUGH USED TO BE. HE SURE WAS HARSH TO THOSE WHO HAVE LESS THAN A THIN SHADOW. I FOUND HIS PERSONAL ATTACK ON MR. LIMBAUGH QUITE OFFENSIVE. PERSONAL ATTACK IS NEVER HONORABLE, BUT THIS IS USUALLY EXPECTED FROM THE POLITICAL VIEWS OF HIS ILK. EVEN THE TITLE OF THE BOOK CAN NOT GET PAST NAME CALLING OF SOMEONE HE DOES NOT HAVE POLITICAL AGREEMENT. I WILL ADMIT, I ENJOYED MR. FRANKEN'S STORIES OF HIS FAMILY AND ADVENT URES OF FOLLOWING AROUND POLITICAL CANDIDATES. GEE! THINK OF IT, HE GOT PAID FOR WRITING A HATCHET PIECE ON SOMEONE HE DISAGREED. I THINK HE SHOULD STICK WITH WRITING FOR THE LIKES OF "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" WITH HIS SATIRICAL COMEDY AND LEAVE REAL POLITICAL COMMENTARY TO THE PROFESSIONALS.

Summary: Al doesn't know that he is the one being laughed at!
Review: I just had to laugh when Al Franken said things like how "Bill Clinton is the greatest president of our century!" This guy is a joke! I don't even think Bill Clinton, the king of wrong, could say stuff this dumb!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: I'd rather buy dirt.
Review: What a sad excuse for an attempt to make Rush Limbaugh look bad! Fortunately Rush is brighter than this guy says and knows just to ignore it and keep on speaking the truth.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: What a joke!
Review: I read this book for the sole purpose of seeing what someone who even dared to challenge Rush has to say. And as expected, I found very few arguments worth arguing about and a bunch of dumb weight jokes.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A funny, funny book
Review: A hilarious book that deserves a permanant place on my bookshelf

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Franken's book a no-brainer
Review: Franken's book really proves that the big difference between liberals and conservatives is that conservatives back their opinions with facts while whiny liberals back their opinions with more opinions. Much like the rest of his life, Franken remains a joke.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Scholar's Flush Rush
Review: Causation is tricky, however it is my conviction that Franken pulled the big string that commenced the public unravelingof Limbaugh's inexplicable public persona.

This is a laugh till it hurts, suitably rambling and undocumented dismantling of the mantle of "influence" of the "far right's" court jester. ENJOY!!!

Summary: 10 out of 5 stars (funScale) unless you are Texas Militia!
Review: I have books on Calvin & Hobbs, Bloom County etc. This is by far the funniest book I have ever read. I do consider myself moderate, and ya Al does dish it out a lot. But the jokes (as well as some of the facts) are tremendous. In my wildest dreams I did not think I would by this book. I saw it in the bookstore, read the reviews from New York Times and Wall Street Journal and started reading the first chapter in the coffee shop of the bookstore. It was so funny I was embrassed because, as hard as I tried, I was laughing out loud! By the way, I love Jean Kirkpatrick -- the subject of the first chapter. I think she was one of the best UN Ambassadors we have ever had in this country.

If you are Rush Limbaugh fan, you won't like this book. If you are indifferent or don't like him... BUY THIS BOOK.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Ho ho ho ho ho! That's lots of Ho Ho's for you, Rush.
Review: Completely hilarious roast of the king piglet himself. Some may wonder if the big one deserves such a skewering regarding his almost surreal girth. My advice: stomach one of his shows, hear his smug insults spewing from your radio, and walah!!--all former sympathies are expunged. Grade AAA material.
