Summary: testament to faith, hope, and love...
Review: An incredible, deeply moving testament to faith, hope. and love in the face of blind hatred and unrepentent evil.

Summary: Testimony of Faith
Review: I'm glad this woman has a book out on her very personal experience with September 11. People who have experienced grief and loss from September 11 will appreciate that there are thousands of people out there like Lisa who went through a horrible year just like them. They are not alone, and with Lisa's story out there, we're reminded of what happened on September 11. The reviewers who have given this book one stars seem to want a literary masterpiece. Lisa is not an English Professor or Noble Prize Winner, but an ordinary woman who became extraordinary by doing what she needed to do to live on. Perhaps the reviewers missed that by not having read the book or not even reading the title of the book.

Summary: Let's Roll a Must Read!
Review: Lisa Beamer has emerged as yet another hero of September 11. She gives details of her husband's last flight and his life. Though she doesn't get caught up in the "woe is me" attitude (which she forgiveably could), she allows us to see a much bigger picture than even September 11. She has astonished me with the way she has conducted herself on various interviews and the book is no exception. Probably the part of the book that stands out the most is when she was 8 months pregnant and decided to tackle the yard work which was in neglect since Todd's death. God helped her in a real way that day when she was feeling overwhelmed. It's interesting reading from an exceptional woman. God bless you Lisa and your family. Thank you for sharing Todd with us.

Summary: Truly Inspiring!!!
Review: I wish all Americans had Lisa Beamers faith. I read it cover to cover over a few days time and it made me want to be a better person. I loved the stories of their homelife, courting, childhoods, and struggles they had to overcome as a family. Their faith is remarkable. They were just an ordinary family living day to day trying to make the best decisions for their children. Lisa didn't invite public scrutiny to be a part of her life and she didn't expect all those invitations for interviews. She is not profiting off the book for herself or the tragedy itself. She gave an honest account of her faith in God and how it has helped her. Shame on those who say otherwise. Maybe they need to RE-READ the book. They missed something the first time. God Bless You and your family Lisa Beamer.

Summary: Read the book in one day
Review: Let's Roll came via Amazon.com on Tuesday. I finished the book on Wednesday.

Lisa certainly has had her share of tragedy but her Faith has
kept her focused.

I can relate to the loss of her father and his brothers and her anger why God took her father so young leaving her mother to raise 4 children alone....

I gained comfort reading I was not alone in my anquish and thoughts.

Lisa is a trooper. An ordinary person with extraordinary strength. ...

Summary: Review the book not Lisa
Review: Those who took pot-shots at Lisa in their reviews of Let's Roll are abusing the purpose of the reviews by using them as a sounding-board for their own personal feelings about Lisa. Nevermind that I am sure none of you know Lisa personally or have read her book which is what reviews are supposed to be for. This is evidenced by the misinformation in your 'reviews' e.g. her trademarking of 'Let's Roll" to make $ off of what were words obviously popularized recently by Todd but being misused to sell things like cars, etc.

I had the opportunity to work with Lisa and I can tell you, 6 years ago, she was then what she is now- The picture of integrity portrayed in her book. She has not made one cent off of her appearances or the book. True, other families lost loved ones on Sept 11th. What makes Lisa so special? In my opinion, to have suffered a loss such as hers, raise her family now single-handedly and STILL maintain dignity, courage and the will to help others in the face of her loss by starting the foundation in Todd's name makes her an extraordinary person and share her experiences with others who have faced loss to try to give them a bit of hope. What are any of YOUR who have bad-mouthed Lisa doing to help anyone affected by Sept. 11th??? What inspiration, hope, or financial help have you offered anyone?

The book is a tribute to Todd and their faith that I am sure would have made him proud. It is also a tribute to the community who rallied around Lisa to help her family, the strength and community of others who suffered losses that day esp. on Flight 93, and a ray of hope for anyone trying to cope with the loss of a loved one.

Summary: A fitting tribute
Review: For those of you who feel the need to bash Ms Beamer for trying to "capitalize on tragedy" by writing the story of her husband, think about this for a moment. Lisa Beamer never once called the media by herself. They sought her out. She was the epitomy of grace when the world was running scared. I looked to her immediately as a woman of deep faith and courage.

She mentions in the book (and it is obvious that some of the negative reviewers never read a page) that there were so many victims of that day that you will never get to know. Or even hear their name. And she wanted to help them. So the solution for that was this foundation she started in Todd Beamers name. And all proceeds from the sale go to them. I'm sure that the families who are going to be receiving aid from the foundation are thankful that the book was written!

Lisa: keep strong. You are an inspiration to christian women around the world - and I highly enjoyed your book. It is wonderful to see someone who isn't ashamed to be truthful and stand up for what they believe. May God bless you and your family.

Summary: Let's Roll
Review: A beautifully written book that clearly describes how a very ordinary person's faith has helped her deal with grief in a tragedy that has touched every American. I have heard Lisa Beamer in person and she is every bit as gracious and genuine as she comes off in her writing. She could have so easily been any one of us. This is not so much an account of 9/11, but an inspiration to anyone who has had to deal with personal loss and grief.

Summary: Too Preachy
Review: When I heard that this book was being released, I was excited. I bought the audio book as soon as it hit shelves. First of all I want to bring to your attention that the audio book is difficult to listen to because the woman reading has no talent and an annoying voice. Second of all, I bought the book hoping to learn more about Todd Beamer's life and the life that he shared with his wife. I also wanted to gain some insight into the ways in which Lisa Beamer coped with her loss. I am interested in learning anyone's story (living or dead) and read a lot of biographies. I expected this book to be a biography. However, this book should have been titled "Relationships with God: Reconnecting After Tragedy." Then, I would have left the book on the shelf. This book did nothing but preached. Every other word was "God." For someone who is not a Christian, per se, this can get really annoying. I did not want to read a spirituality book or verses from the Bible. It is understandable that someone with so much faith would turn to God in a crisis, but for someone who has alternative beliefs when it comes to spirituality, this book will eat at you. I want to make it clear that I respect Lisa Beamer (and everyone that has lost someone that they love) and respect her faith, but my advice on this book is: steer clear unless you are a Christian.

Summary: What an inspirational book!
Review: I have to admit that after reading Among the Heroes: United Flight 93 and the Passengers Who Fought Back by Jere Longman,(a great book by the way- 5*'s) I was still curious to find out more about the flight 93 crash. I bought Let's Roll to get what I thought would be a different perspective on the United Flight 93 crash. I was pleasantly surprised to find a VERY inspirational book by Lisa Beamer. I admire her strength and courage in her time of loss. I think this book would be great for anyone to read! It's awesome to see how one can truly trust God and His plan for our lives. The book made me reflect more on my life and on my relationships with my husband, son, family and friends. Most importantly, it made me examine my relationship with God. ... I truly found this to be an enjoyable read and have already recommended this book to many of my family and friends.
