Rating: Summary: On Sanity Review: Whatever one may think of Michael Savage, through his fans, as we find them herein, we see proof of the relationship between proper evaluation and sanity.
Rating: Summary: Savage Our Savior Review: To some, Michael Savage is an Evil man, the man that believes in God, Family values, and most importantly in America as the best country on the face of the Earth. Some people might not agree with his delivery style, or his imaginative name-calling. But, one cannot disregard the fact that Savage is not alone. Here is the man that is willing to fight. Here is a man that refuses to play by the rules of Political Correctness. He refuses to comply with the norm, which surprisingly is dictated by the left. He takes his time to show the willing listeners and readers, where the country might go under wrong "dictatorship." Gore's Contract Against America, as presented in the book, is not that far away from reality, and the name itself is negotiable, it does not have to be just Gore. Savage talks about many other issues affecting life in our country. Whether it is the assault by the lawyers on our liberties, or by doctors on our children, or by the illegal immigration on our language, the threat is real and most importantly it is just around the corner. If you really think that Extreme Liberalism is Not a mental disease, you really need to read this book. But I have to warn you, there is a chance you might become an "angry white male." Finally, I want to point out that if you are writing the review of the book, please do write about the book, instead of attacking the author. Such practice I believe, would be classified as a genetic fallacy, ad hominem abusive to be exact, which just to refresh everyone's memory goes something like: "...attempt to disparage the character of the person presenting the argument, to deny that person's intelligence, or to question his/her integrity, while not addressing the statements or arguments being presented..." Wow, one learns something new everyday.
Rating: Summary: Bush in '04 Review: Competing for the label of most vicious star of hate radio, this no-class cartoon character sounds like something that escaped from the Jerry Springer zoo. Spewing toxic sewage has been quite profitable for the little Hitlers on the right, and as long as their cult followers need someone to tell them what to think, they'll stay in business. If you're having trouble telling this sneering hyena from the Hannitys and the O'Reillys and the Limbaughs, he's the one who got kicked off TV for saying to a caller, "You should only get AIDS and die!" Such swill is obviously meant as satire, but it inspires perverse devotion among those who dwell at the bottom of the anti-intellectual barrel.

Rating: Summary: liberal's hate the truth, but love Bill, sad and pathetic Review: Michael Savage speaks my heart with his mind, it's no surprise that liberals hate him, he tells the truth. They really are the enemy within. The fake compassion from them makes me sick!
Rating: Summary: a work of comedy, right Review: Why are so many reviewers (both for and against)going aplopectic over this book. This is just meant to be a joke, right. I mean who, with 2 brain cells to rub together, could take Savage's rantings seriously?
Rating: Summary: Scared Liberals Review: I find most of these negative reviews quite interesting. Are you people that threatened by Michael Savage? Most of you have to give such a LONG explanation of your opinions it's quite hysterical. Are you teachers, professors? Maybe you should write your own books to try and reeducate us and Michael Savage. If you ever listen to Savage's show, you will hear that he does back up what he says. His book is not meant to be a history book. It is to get his point across and make it entertaining at the same time. Entertain us just like his show. He's actually a very intelligent man and I Love to see people so scared that there are people who know what's going on in the country. Great Book, what can I say. Looking forward to reading his next. I'm sure most of you Liberals will read his next book just to give your negative comments. Please continue, it makes it fun to see you squirm.

Rating: Summary: Cite your sources Review: 280 or so of the current 576 ratings of this book are 5 stars. at least 30% have only negative things to say about him, and appeared to use this high rating just to get attention for the sake of insulting him(and, by the way, that number is the low-count for anyone who wishes to check up on me.) But then again, if you're a true supporter of this man, follow the advice of a fellow supporter: "His words don't need factual reference pages, if people refuse to believe him then they are lost in the first place." That is called following blind. You, the supporters, would then be the "american sheeple" if you follow that advice. If you belive him to be right, then make sure he is telling you the truth. Then, once you know he's right, make as much noise about it as you possibly can. If you realize his lies are more transparent than saran wrap, and "Borders, Language, and Culture" is an asinine statement in a country that is known as a melting pot because it has no specific language or culture that is considered superior. (Really, look it up, English is the language that government speaks, but it never says that English is superior to any other language. Same goes with culture. Really; ask the Amish.) and as for borders, this country says that it will expand because it "is the will of God" (take a look at manifest destiny, if you don't believe me) so, borders can expand, and murder is wrong. That means that the people inside the borders we expand into are then instantly Americans (we can't make them second-class citizens, can we?) with all the rights, privileges, and OBLIGATIONS, thereof. America is great because of its diversity, not in spite of it. Want an example? Spain in the middle ages. Jews, Christians, and Muslims lived in peace under a muslim ruler for over 700 years. (Don't believe me? search for books on it here, or go there yourself. Seville is a nice place anytime of year.) Then, after years of war, in january 1492, the msulim ruler was deposed by ferdinand and isabella, the catholic king and queen of spain. The skilled and unskilled muslims and jews, were kicked out. Then came the inquisition. Borders, language and culture are still preserved to this day. Frozen in time. Spain hasn't changed much (except for losing revenue and an empire) to this day. Age-old traditions are still kept alive, the language has barely shifted sice 1492 (first book published was a grammar book) Quick. How many nobel prize winners does spain have? None. What was spain's last contribution to the world? Oh yeah, they joined us in our little "crusade" (to quote Mr. President). Anything else? Nope, sorry. So that's what happens when language borders and culture are preserved. In my opinion, Mr. Savage is a savage, and deserves nothing less than to be sent to a country where all of his views are enacted, and he is in the minority. Let him enjoy himself there. If everything in this book is enacted, this country will plunge into an abyss the likes of which this world has never seen. But don't believe my ranting. Buy this book, if you think i'm wrong, and check for truth in his words.
Rating: Summary: A sick and unhappy man Review: "Savage Nation" is a straight translation of Michael Savage's anti-liberal radio show into book form. At over 200 pages, that's a lot of ranting! Anyone looking for a rational exposition of his thought will not find it here. This book is sheer energy, fury and emotion, often unfocused, usually off-center, but seemingly heartfelt. I know Savage a little better after reading the book, since he drops ample hints about his personal history. Savage parents were neglectful and remote. He grew up in a tough part of town and used his wits to survive. He bounced from one career to another, seemingly unfulfilled, until his radio career. "Savage Nation" provides us with Savage's take on what he sees as the evils that are destroying America. He decries cultural feminization and homosexualization, political correctness, animal rights and illegal immigrants seeking free educational and welfare benefits. All these ills are placed at the feet of liberals and Democrats in general and the Clintons whenever possible. Savage doesn't try to back up these claims with facts, though he often promises to do so. Instead, he battles straw men via invented "quotes" that purport to tell what his enemies are saying beneath their real words. Savage is always mocking, occasionally funny ("Red Diaper Doper Babies" is a classic), and maddeningly unpredictable. For instance, rather than agree with the extreme right-wing cant that all Arabs should leave the country, Savage wants to *prevent* them from leaving, ostensibly to harass them. He thinks America needs another Joe MacCarthy. And he praises family life in the 1950s, even though his own experience (and that of many others) amply demonstrates the shortcomings of childrearing during that period. Occasionally, a gentle Savage emerges from the scorched ground. There is the Savage melting at the sight of an openly-loving Mexican family at a fast food restaurant. The wounded Savage, being rejected from a Berkeley graduate program. There is Savage, the staunch friend, liberating a tankful of fish for a woman who couldn't bear the thought that they would be eaten. Sadly, these glimpses of humanity are drowned out by chapters of indignant, howling rage. "Savage Nation" is largely irrational and off-putting--the unharnessed id of a frustrated man. That's a shame, because Savage raises important issues about national security, immigration benefits, voting standards and culture. He has a viewpoint that deserves to be laid out dispassionately. Unfortunately, even when he is onto something, he is so polarizing that he scares the curious to the opposite viewpoint. Reading this book, I can't help but feel sorry for Savage. He seems like such a sick and unhappy man.
