Rating: Summary: John Edward has a Gift Review: I have to admit that I was a big skeptic regarding this "psychic stuff" until I read "One Last Time." This book offers excellent information for those who are just now taking an interest in this area. It is comprised of stories that will touch your heart and give you a sense of comfort, knowing that although our loved ones may be gone, then never really leave us. A definite thumbs up!

Rating: Summary: What a gift! Review: About two months ago I flipped across the Sci-Fi channel and saw John's show. It hit me that, "hey I remember this guy, he's amazing." For the next few nights I faithfully tuned in to watch "Crossing Over." I jumped on Amazon and ordered this book...anxious to read about John and his gift. The next week I walked past our bookstore and saw his newest book, "Crossing Over" in the window and had to have it. Both books are excellent. He makes me a believer. While reading John's books it was as if I could hear him telling the stories and describing his childhood. One great thing about John's presence, he doesn't act like his head is too big to get through the door...he has a sense of humor and has a good heart. He just wants to help people. Just believe....
Rating: Summary: Great as Expected Review: As usual, John Edward has done it again! This book is exceptional!
Rating: Summary: One Last Time = One Great Read Review: _One Last Time_ was poignant, inspiring, and sometimes just uproariously funny. I loved the stories about John's mother, both before and after she crossed, and there are any number of wonderful tales here that both entertain and instruct the reader. Apart from John's more extraordinary gifts, he has the ability to discuss his psychic life and his mediumship in a way that engages the reader, instead of alienating her. His style is fresh, funny, and down-to-earth, and as I read the book, I heard John's no-nonsense Long Island accent in my mind, imparting these stories. Some are sad, but the pain is always balanced by the sweetness of reconnecting people with those who have crossed over. When I finally closed this book (I read it in two marathon sessions), I felt my fears of dying melt away, as well as the pain I felt regarding my mother's fragile health. These negative feelings are now replaced by optimism--though I know that I must stay here and learn the lessons that I am here to learn, I also actually look forward to crossing over and taking part in the "fun energy" on the other side, as John has described it once on his tv show. I am an avid fan of "Crossing Over," and I watch the syndicated shows every weekday. As any fan of John knows, he exudes gentle strength on that show. (And I'm sorry, but I gotta say it--he ain't hard to look at, either!) That same gentle strength is apparent throughout _One Last Time_. This is a great book, and I plan to encourage my friends to read it. I will also be soon purchasing _Crossing Over: The Stories Behind the Stories_, because I was so impressed with this book.
Rating: Summary: Way to go, John Review: People are taught from birth through religion and popular culture that a) that there is life after death and b) if you think you're experiencing anything - or even believe in anything - that remotely proves this, you're out of your mind. Like John once said on his TV show, "When you're a medium, you have a target on your butt." So, sometimes, do the people whom he's convinced. Though in my opinion, the fools are the people who can watch John and still remain skeptical. (They're the same kinds of people who insisted the world was flat.) I don't know what they're waiting for in the way of proof. It's all right there in front of them in John, and the way he presents it, it's perfectly sensible and perfectly plausible. It appears as though John's mission in this world is to prove there is life after death in a way that isn't mystical or fanciful. He doesn't light candles and demand that you cross his palms with gold. He doesn't wear a turban or mutter in tongues. He is a genuinely nice man whose honest intention is to help people through their grief by connecting them to the people they lost. And he does it in language and with a bearing that a typical person from a Western culture can trust. It's fascinating. This book is just like John. It's wonderful. You have to read it.
Rating: Summary: One Last Time...One Great Book! Review: This book is incredible. I must say I am a little prejudiced since I just love John Edward and must watch all his shows. When I started reading this book I could not put it down. I read it and then read it again. I had to buy copies for members of my family as well. I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Touching and sensitive... Review: I am a huge fan of John's show and have read other work by him as well as enjoys some of his audio tapes. I came across this book on audio and listened to it from beginning to end in a 2 day time period. I literally did not want to turn it off. I listened in the car and carried the tape inside to listen while I was doing housework, I could not get enough. The stories that John shared were funny and touching and personal. As I have mentioned in other reviews, I love John's voice and the way he tells his story, it is real and poignant. He pulls you into the story and makes you a part of them. By the end of the tape he shares a story about "Mikey," that touches a person deep inside. I, needless to say, did not want the book to end. However, it did and now I am enjoying Crossing Over...look for that review coming soon. I encourage anyone who is curious to read or listen to this book, I think you will enjoy it. Thank you John for sharing your experiences with us.
Rating: Summary: Just Like TV Review: "One Last Time" is a wonderful collection of Jonathan Edward's more remarkable psychic medium readings. Not to take anything away from any of his readings; I'm sure that the ones chosen just seem to be the most powerful and pronounced. Will it change your skepticism? Maybe. Will it help to confirm the belief that you already posses? Yes. I, for one, have always felt that my loved ones that have passed over before me have remained there for me. I found it refreshing that John has that same belief as well. It's funny that I had the feeling that I would love to have John read me after reading this book, but after thinking more about it I realized that I didn't need to, that I already knew the answers to my questions. Yes, their all right and yes, they can hear me and are waiting to greet me when it's my time to come home. Thanks John.
Rating: Summary: The World of the Occult Review: John Edwards even admits in his book that his communication with the dead is indirect. He describes several spirit mediums in his book that he saw through a meditation that act as spirit mediums or middlemen for the dead to communicate there message across to John. These are flat out demons! This is a way for the Devil of enticing people to get more deeply involved into other occult practices such as Ougi boards, seances, etc . Ultimately these practices leaves people's minds more open to demonic possession which is a total enslavement of an individual by demons. For all you Christians who don't find anything wrong with this, shame on you for your lack of perservance and faith in the Holy Spirit! Don't you realize that the Scriptures prohibit this?
