Summary: This is a warning for those who believe the Bible
Review: John edward is an amazing human being with the ablity to allow the divine energy to flow through him. This is what the bible teaches us as well as other modern day texts of inspiration such as the books John has written. We are all children of God and to surrender to the divine energy within is an example for us all. Our true essense does not die, only the flesh. To do what John does is not contacting the "Dead" so to speak, simply re-connecting with life in another place. Bravo John, stay focused and BE who you are!

Summary: Love the book.
Review: I love this book. It's refreshing to read about John's life as a child, how he discovered his abilities and then how he used them to help others. The chapters where he shares the actual reading are fascinating. After you read the book, you walk away with a stronger sense of the after life minus all of the psycho babble that can make other books by others in this field a hard read.

Review: If you watch Crossing Over on television every day, as I do, you may not find anything new in this book, but you will get subtle insights into the "man behind the show" that the casual viewer doesn't get to see. It's gratifying to follow his transition from skeptical teen to budding psychic to quirky medium. He comes across as less intimidating, since he has evolved into a believer instead of beginning as one. His contacts from the other side, often send their messages in symbolism that the latter half of the baby boomers will find most familiar; TV and Movie references. This imprecise form of communication sometimes has comical results, and John approaches nearly every subject with a sense of humor that is often missing from a subject as emotional as contacting lost loved ones. This book may not make a believer out of you, but if you think that our physical death is the end of our journey, you really ought to read this book.

Summary: Warning for those who believe the Bible
Review: This is not as much a review as it is a warning. Many have been deceived by John Edward's convincing television show, "Crossing Over," and his books dealing with the same subject. At its most basic, Edward is a medium who attempts to contact the dead. The Bible strictly forbids this practice, in Deuteronomy, Leviticus, and the books of Samuel. I am a Christian, and I take the Bible as the Word of God. The Bible calls this practice (conjuring the dead) "detestable to the Lord." Please, do not be deceived-- if you believe the Bible is true, as I do, heed the Word of the Lord and avoid John Edward's occult practices.

Review: This was the most amazing book I've ever read. The stories are gripping and literally gave me goose-bumps. I could not put this book down. John Edward is a gifted medium and I am extremely impressed by his talent. If you are not a believer in the after-life and psychics, you will be after reading this book!

Review: I will never see this world (and the next) the same! John Edward and his book have further shattered the illusions of what I was taught and opened up my mind to an amazing depiction of why were are here and life beyond how we know it. His accounts are very sincere, and his good heart and integrity come through clearly and naturally. He is truly an gifted medium. He's certainly opened up the door to more questions, but can be an important aide to anyone's spiritual path.
