Summary: Have an open mind!!!
Review: I recently purchased "One Last Time," and could not put it down, not even long enough to cook dinner for my family. I stood there, book in one hand and utensil in the other, distractedly tending to what was on the stove!!!

I have always believed that there are people who have the amazing gift that John Edward does, but I am enough of a skeptic to look carefully at those claiming to have the gift before believing wholeheartedly in them. Yes there are fakes out there, the debunkers have proved that already. However, there are only so many ways to "write off" the abilities that John Edward and others really have. So many people sit there, quoting the Scriptures, trying to get the point across that what John Edward does is "of the devil", etc. (My husband is one of them, by the way...) I suppose it's all in how we each interpret what is written in The Bible, and whether or not we allow ourselves to have an open mind. Seems to me it's easier to persecute the psychics and the believers than it is to admit that something like this actually could be the work of God. If it brings comfort and peace to those who are bereaved, can you explain just HOW it could stem from evil??????

Summary: Excellent, interesting book
Review: This is the first review I have ever felt like leaving on Amazon. This book was easy to read and difficult to put down. After reading the other reviews about this book there is little more I can add to what has already been said (with the exception of the one who thinks John talks to satan...that person was confused). What I will say is that after watching John's show and reading two of his books, I have made sure I tell my loved ones how much I care about them, never leaving it unsaid ever again. It is obvious that John's gift is truly a gift and a message from God, one that is meant to teach, comfort and remind us that our spirit does not just end as we leave this earth. Even though I have not lost a loved one recently, I am still immensely comforted by the readings and stories of others. Thank you John.

Summary: Fantastic Read!!
Review: I could not put this book down once I started reading it! It is filled with very touching stories of readings that John Edward has done. Even to those that are skeptical, this book really makes you think if it is possible to still be connected to the other side. I loved the style of writing. It has a hint of humor to it and makes you see that John is more than just a medium. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!

Summary: CROSSING OVER
Review: Why are people so afraid of .... John's TRUTH. He is the MOST HONEST CARING person who only wants to HELP people connect with their loved ones. He is the REAL THING, no faking it with John. He doesn't HAVE to, it is a natural ability he is gifted with. Stop putting down his ability, his true gift and open your heart and your eyes, put down your sword and just .... listen and understand what he is all about. It is NOT John you are listening to, it is the SPIRITS that use him as a tool to speak to their loved ones. Honor the PROCESS ... just HONOR THE PROCESS. Both of his books, CROSSING OVER AND ONE LAST TIME are real. Stop being afraid of the unknown, and thank John for being the brave soul he is and succeeding to spread the word from the OTHER SIDE. John has come forward for departed souls to speak for the OTHER SIDE and us to now ..... listen and not be afraid. Just listen and you will learn. Honor the process as John leads us to .... peace. God Bless You, John Edward

Summary: Thank you
Review: I would like to thank John Edward for helping to bring to light that our loved ones who have crossed over are still there and doing fine in the next level of life. I have had my own visits from my beloved family and close friends who have passed. I cherish those moments just as much as I cherished their time with me. It is a great comfort to feel their presents with me. Thank you for speaking on a subject that is often not spoken of in the open. Thank you and God bless.

Summary: This book helped me feel better!
Review: This book really helped me cope when my Dad recently died. I was on a cross country trip to my Dad's funeral & I had a lot of time to read this book on the way. It was an interesting story about how John Edward came to realize his ability & it helped me to know that my dead relatives are always with me & John has seen that with other people. Considering my Mom, Grandma & both Grandpas are also deceased it really gave me a "peace of mind" that they really are watching & supporting me from the other side. I really liked the stories that are in the book about other people's situations when they came into contact with John. I highly recommend this book for either someone who just lost a loved one or for just a good book!

Summary: From a skeptic to a believer
Review: My mother was a fan of John Edward and as a gift to her I purchased tickets to a show he was giving in a neighboring town. My mother and I went with two other family members. It was held in a large auditorium. I had seen him on television and wondered (like most thinking people) if it was not some kind of set up. Just like the show "Crossing Over" Mr. Edward read for the audience of about 1500. He read for several people then picked out my family. Unless the man can read minds, which would be quite impressive, he convinced me (and my family) he's the real deal. He connected with my father who passed away 11 years ago, he told us things he could not have known, even if he researched my family. I really liked "One Last Time" and I am currently reading "Crossing Over". I am a Christian and I don't believe this is from Satan or evil angels. And for those who gripe because the dead don't tell us anything of importance, I believe there are things we are not meant to know until we are there. If we had all the answers, would we be the same people we are today?

Summary: Highly Recommended
Review: I love John Edward's books and work.
Being a medium is sometimes a lonely pathway - faith is
the key to sharing love and light.
John shares God's love.

Bless you always

Summary: Dangerous Deception
Review: John may be sincere, but he is sincerely deceived. The Bible is quite unmistakeably clear that DEATH is an UNCONSCIOUS SLEEP. The dead have no thoughts, no praise, don't go to heaven or hell, and can not communicate with the living. (Ps 146:4, Eccl 9:5,6,10, Is 38:18,19, Ps 6:5; 115:17, Acts 2:29,34, Job 14:10-12,21 1 Thess 4:14 ) The idea of an immortal soul is a pagan belief incorporated by the church along with idol worship, sun worship, easter eggs, eternal torment, etc. John is communicating with Satan and the evil angels that were cast out of heaven.(Rev 12:7-9) These supernatural beings can easily impersonate the voices and mannerisms of our loved ones much as entertainers can impersonate famous persons and film stars. By bringing forward "important messages" to the living in the guise of departed loved ones, or famous people like Eleanor Roosevelt, people are in a position to be tricked and hurt by the very being who stated the lie, "ye shall NOT surely die". (Gen 3:4,5; 1 Tim 4:1, 2Cor11:14,15) The word immortal is only used in conjunction with God, never with mortal humanity. In fact, man is a physical body to which is added the living energy of the spirit to BECOME a LIVING SOUL or BEING (Gen 2:7). Death is the reverse, the body returns to dust and the spirit (inanimate life energy)returns to God.(Eccl 12:7) The SOUL or BEING no longer exists, until the resurrection. (John 5:28,29) The misunderstanding that people go immediately to hell or heaven upon death arises because in an unconcious sleep there is NO concept of TIME. Whether you sleep 3000 years or 3 days, the next thing you will hear after your death is the voice of God calling you to awake, hopefully to the first resurrection at the second coming of Jesus (John 5:28,29, Rev 12: 5-14, 1Thess 4:16-18, Job19:25-27, John 11:23-25)when we receive immortality as a gift from God. Be careful what you believe, check out what God has to say on the subject in his Word - also available here at Amazon.com

Summary: Loved, But Not Lost
Review: I am reminded of a poem I heard read at a funeral that really affected me years ago...although I cannot recall the text of the poem, the message was... just think of me as being in the next room, not gone away, speak of me often, for I am always with you, and will see you again soon...

John really gives validation to this message. I could not put the book down and found myself wanting John to be my next door neighbor just because it would be so awesome to know someone with his ability.

The stories he tells about the families of the people he hears from are so unbelievably intertwined with each other in ways that could rival Ray Bradbury or Stephen King as far as non-fiction, but are even more fantastic because they are real! I would not call myself a skeptic, but was raised in a very strict down to earth religious background. I find John's experiences do nothing but enforce most of everything I have been taught (except for animals, that is very puzzling) and really teaches us that there is so much we do not know about the afterlife, no matter how much you know about the Bible. God has not told us everything and lets us know that up front.

Anyone with an open mind (or even a slightly closed one) will find this book fascinating and will come to their own conclusions about where we go after "Crossing Over."

John's life is amazing and I feel we are very fortunate to be able to witness the things he is able to do. This book gives us a small look into his life and the path he was placed upon. I would hope to some day meet him and find out more of his experiences.

Thank you for this book, keep 'em coming.
