Summary: Spiritually Uplifting
Review: I have to admit that I watched his show, Crossing Over, only once. It was strange, watching a psychic pick people out of a crowd. The show left me wondering how he kept himself focused and how he managed to single out one person at a time.
That one episode intrigued me enough to buy the book, and I was glad that I did. He comes across as down to earth in his book as he does on his show. That makes the book very easy to read and understand.
One Last Time touches everything about his life--his relationship with his family, his healthy skepticism about talking to people from the Other Side, his career in the medical field, his religious faith, and the cases he has experienced. I almost felt like I was there as I was reading the pages, he writes so well.
I was especially touched by Andrew and Mikey, who both died in accidents. Their cases resonated with love and caring for their families. I felt empathy for Mr. Edward when he worried about how his mediumship would affect his standing in the Catholic faith. What impressed me the most about One Last Time was that it wasn't filled with the typical "harps, chariots, and beyond-beautiful" picture of the Other Side like I've read in other celebrity psychic books. He talks about the Other Side as being an infinite place that is full of love and a place where souls can evolve.
He explains what happens to people who commit suicide. Being a survivor, that was especially comforting. At the end, he tells us how we can tap into our own spiritual awareness.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who has an interest in spirituality and anyone who has lost someone close to them. One Last Time is a message of hope.

Summary: Never the last time
Review: While I am open minded I think I remain skeptical at best when it comes to spirits communicating from the dead. This book is really well written, conversational and easy to get lost in. I was surprised and glad to have explored this author!
A must read for those who are not sure about the spirital part of life. It has given me the faith that we are never alone and the people we lose are never that far away.

Summary: Leaves you wanting more...
Review: My girlfriend made me watch "Crossing Over" on TV and at first I didn't know what I was watching. Normally when you see a psychic you feel disapointed so watching John work his magic made me go buy "One Last Time" to find out who this guy was.
The book is mostly about John's childhood, family and how he became a psychic medium. There are so many thing going on in the book, yet one thing always seems to be linked to another. John's uncanny ability to talk to the dead seems both amazing and normal at the same time.
If there is a fault with te book it is that you want to learn to do it yourself, yet he only spends the last chapter of the book talking about visualization.

Summary: ON MY TOP 10 LIST
Review: Suspend disbelief and read this book. I have recommended it to everyone who'll listen. Even if you've never watched Mr. Edward's show Crossing Over, you'll enjoy this book. Here's a guy who is just as mystified as you or I would be to discover he has this amazing ability to receive messages from departed loved ones. I often read with my mouth agape. Mr. Edwards comes across as a down-to-earth everyman, who just happens to have extraordinary abilities.
And for all the naysayers...If he is a phony, he and his editors should win a prize for best fiction for this collection of stories. They're more phenomenal than most of the popular fiction I've read in a long time.

Summary: Soothing to the soul
Review: When I first discovered this tome, I was very skeptical to say the least; however, I had just recently lost both of my parents and was searching for something. For some reason, I was just drawn to this book. I have to say, the stories inside were well written and exemplified John Edward's supposable abitilies but I just didn't buy it. That is, until I saw his program on the Sci-Fi channel. That made all the difference in the world. As I watched each day, I was amazed as to the validations he was able to give. Only if this were a MAJOR scam with a wide-array of people could this be anything other than real!

Summary: My First Time with "One Last Time".
Review: My mother actually got me interested in John Edward. She told me about his show on Sci-Fi, and I watched it a few times. That's all it took, those few times, and I was hooked. When I heard about this book, I went out to get it immediately. I was not disappointed at all. It's a true page-turner... one you can not put down 'til you finish it. Whether you're a skeptic, or a believer, this book makes you see things clearly, it offers advice, gives you answers, makes you feel, and uplifts your spirits. It opens up a whole new world for the reader... one of mystery, and wonder... laughs and tears. John is a gifted Medium, he has a fabulous TV-presence, and now, he has shown us he's also a very talented writer. Very enjoyable book, and I highly recommend it to all.

Summary: Comforting and Amazing
Review: I was totally held hostage by this book when I purchased and started to read it. I literally couldn't put it down. The fact that John Edward comes across as an ordinary person makes the experiences and things mentioned in his book more believable. The book talks about how he first realized he had a special ability and the people in his life that have been the most helpful in guiding him along the path of being a psychic medium. The experiences and happenings that John mention in this book has helped me to heal from the emotions I experienced after losing my Mother a year ago. Also, it has helped to open my eyes and realize that she has been leaving me signs along the way that she is still here with me, but on a different plain. I have recommended this book to my friends who have lost loved ones in the hopes that they will find comfort in reading the book, as well as to help them to understand and believe that their loved ones are still in their lives. I can't wait to read all the other books that John has written concerning this subject.

Review: John Edward came out with this magnifesant master piece of telling us that our loved ones who have crossed over, are still with us. The book made you laugh and cry and made me thank God for John Edward and his openess to life as it really is.
