Summary: Nothing But The Truth
Review: Avi's documentary novel, Nothing But The Truth, was an amazing book. Avi has a unique writing style that no other author has.
In this book, Phillip Malloy recieves a new homeroom teacher. He just assumes that she is mean for the simple fact that she describes herself as being strict. Phillip tries everything to get out of her class. One little thing that he decides to do blows up into a national wide explosion! He almost sabbotoges everyone's lives because of this one teacher! Everyone believes that Phillip was wrongly suspended for showing patriotism, but only a few people know the truth! You have to read to understand exactly what I mean.
The characters are not really explained in the book. Once you start to read you feel like youv'e known the characters for ever. You start to feel how they would if they were real. You also feel that you are a part of the story because it just draws you in.
If you like surprises you WILL LOVE this book because you never know what will happen! Because you feel like a part of the book, one minute you're in the ass. principals office then you're talking to a reporter! Nothing in the beginning of the book can compare to what happens in the last few sentences of the book. The book has a surprise ending that no one would ever suspect this book has a lot of ironic things happening!
As I said Avi has a writing style all of his own! He uses sentences that might confuse you at first, but then you'll understand why his writing is this way. I really enjoyed this book I hope I have encouraged you to read this fasinating book!

Summary: Nothing But The Truth
Review: Do you love books that get you in deep? This book is captivating and you just never want to put it down. As Philip's lies get him deeper into his controversy with his teacher, Miss Narwin, you'll always wonder what's going to happen next. Especially when the press gets involved. This ninth grade boy turns a minor classroom disturbance into an all-out national controversy. How will Philip get himself out of this?
Another great part of this book is the style. It is written in a documentary style writing. This means that you get to here and see all the key people's stories as if you were someone their reading it or overhearing it. It is an interesting perspective tha allows you to really understand whats going on in Philip's and all the other characters lives.
I like this book. As you read it turns out interesting surprises and twists that are totally unexpected. Believe me this book is full of "anything but the truth".

Summary: "Nothing But the Truth"
Review: I Think the book "Nothing But the Truth" was a great book. I think this because it should alot of the things that happened in the real world. Such as when Philip Malloy starts humming the National Athem in class, just to get kicked out. And here in the real world thats bacily what childern my age tend to do when they get mad at a teacher and don't want to be in that class anymore. but it don't work that way because alot of parents arn't just going to take their childern out of the school over something like that. This story is ironic because during all this time in which Philip is being so called patriotic.(for which he was known world wide for.) When he was asked to sing Nation Athem he could not. Thgats what I think is so ironic about this story, And thats what makes this book so good is how you never know whos telling the truth about what. Until the end of the story. I give this book 5 stars.

Review: This Book "Nothing But the Truth" by Avi Is a very good book I must say I think that it shows a good lesson learn. It has a very interesting plot also. Its about a boy Named Philip who goes to a class and just hates the teacher he does want to be in her class so he acts like the class clown in the whole book.
What was really ironic about it was that the title was "nothing but the truth" but still the book was packed full of lies.
Another interesting thing that took place in the book was that it wasn't a plan book it had Memo's in it and Dairy entires and Radio talk shows and also School Annocments in other words it was called a Documentary Novel.
Which is very neat I must say I've never read a book that is a Documentary Novel and I must say with my personal opianin it was a very good story.

Summary: Nothing But The Truth
Review: The Book "Nothing But The Truth" By Avi has an interesting plot. It's about a boy named Philip Malloy. He is sort of the class clown but gets suspended for showing his "patriotism".
The characters in the book which include Philip, his parents and his whole school are much like some people that I know.
The way that the book was written was also very interesting. It came in the form of diary entries, telephone conversations, face-to-face conversations, school announcements, school memos, radio talk shows, newspaper clippings, and telegrams.
The book "Nothing But The Truth" has the truth hidden behind the lies but I have to say that it is a good book.

Summary: NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH
Review: My opinion about the characters Miss Narwin she acts like she is a nice person to the kids, but Philip Malloy makes her look stuipd, cause when people found out that she kick him out of class for sing the national anthem, but really she didn't do that. Dr. Doane told the reported that they wasn't any rule to be quite when the national anthem is playing. I didn't really like Philip Malloy that much, cause all he did was lie to his parents and every body else about Miss Narwin. And I didn't like Philip's dad, cause he told him to keep it up and don't stop when she tells you to.

Summary: Nothing But The Truth
Review: The plot to this story Nothing But The Truth was well thought out in my opinion. It was one of the best books I have ever read. The way the authur made you want to keep reading and reading to find out what happens next, to me ounce you start to read it grabs you and wont let go until you are finished reading. I love the ending more than any other part of the book. It really is funny in my opinion, because throughout the book Philip wants to sing the national anthem, and at the end at his new school the teacher asks if he wants to lead the national anthem and he says that he doesn't know the words.

Review: The charcters in this book was good old philp malloy and his so called dreadful teacher miss Narwin. Miss Narwin was philps homeroom teacher and also his english teacher. This book had an exellent plot, story theme and also it had a good story theme.
Philp Malloys school pals or peers was mad at Malloy for doing this to his teacher. Maybe someone else will read this wonderful book and it will help them as much as it did me.

Summary: My Review: Nothing But the Truth!
Review: In my opinion, Nothing But the Truth was a very good book. I think the author,Avi, brought out his characters very well. For me he painted a picture of the characters, he brought to life their personalities. Miss Narwin was probably my favorite character, she was a caring, and fair school teacher, all of her students think so. Until she gets Phillip Malloy, a rowdy ninth grader who loves to run. Miss Narwin is a fair teacher but she is very misunderstood by Phillip, he sees her as an unfair person who is out to get him. But in reality she's not. But she also doesn't understand Phillip, she thinks he is trying to annoy her and thinks he is being disrespectful, but he's just trying to get her to lighten up. I think this book, is about the mis-communications between teacher and student.
