Summary: NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH
Review: THIS BOOK, NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH, IS VERY POSIMISTIC BECAUSE THEY THINK NEGATIVE ALOT.THE PLOT WAS PRETTY REALISTIC BECAUSE IT WAS LIKE IT WAS REAL PEOPLE IN A REAL SITUATION.THE CHARACTERS IN THIS BOOK ARE LIKE REAL PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY HANDLE THE SITUATION LIKE WE USUALY WOULD.
THIS BOOK IS VERY IRONIC BY THE WAY PHILIP ACTS IN IT.SOME WAYS HE DOES THIS IS ONE HE WANTED OUT OF MISS NARWINS CLASS AND THEN ONCE HE GOT OUT OF HER CLASS HE SWICHED SCHOOLS.ANOTHER WAY IS HOW HE WANTED TO BE ON THE TRACK TEAM MORE THAN ANYTHING AND THEN WHEN HE SWICHED SCHOOLS HE SWICHED TO A SCHOOL THAT DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A TRACK TEAM.THIS IS MY OPINION OF THIS BOOK I WOULD PREFER YOU TO READ IT BECAUSE IT IS PRETTY INTERESTING AND ALSO THIS COULD REALLY HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE.

Summary: The Book
Review: Well I think that the book was good it may not be the best thing to read on a cloudy day. The plot was very interesting about how the people acted. But wierdest thing of all would have to be how Ironic this book was. I can't tell you the end of the book but I will tell you that It's not like the beging.
The book did not show a realistic plot. Most the people were not acting there oun age cand of like that were in 5th grade. But me my self I found some of it to be funny the way it ended and the way that acted. But I think that it had a good meaning to it I hope you like the book.

Summary: Nothing But The Truth Review!
Review: This book is realistic something that could really happen in real life. So it leaves you wondering where did AVI get his information from? How did he come up with something like this. The plot was differnt than the books I'm usually intrested in. In this book you learn not to take sides on everything until you have heard both sides of the story. Then you can make a decission on who you think you should side with. The characters in the story were not explained. I thought that was intresting that we had no idea what the characters looked like. I have never read a book like that before where it didn't describe, describe, decribe. This book had a lot of irony in it. One type of irony it had in it was the title of the book Nothing but the Truth when all the book had in it was mostly people lying. Another time this book showed irony was when Philip didn't know the words to the National Anthem but yet all over the country he was know for his patrotism. The writing style in this book was very diffrent. They had memos, diary entrys, leters, ect. It was very hard to follow this type of writing style and the way he jumped around from letters to memos. I didn't much like how that was done. It was done as if pertaing to business. but myself I dont like books set up like that. I never expected to book to end like it did that was very ironic how after all the camotion over the National Anthem he didnt even know the words. Overall, this book is ok but I wasn't very intrested in it. Its not the kind of book I get intrested in.

Summary: Nothing But the Truth
Review: The plot of this novel is realist. Something like this could really happen in the United States today. It is just a little pessimistic because Phillip wanted on the track team, but he didn't work for it.
The characters of this novel is totally realist. Even though in the story it doesn't explain what the characters look like Avi makes them seem like real people with emotions, language, and etc. One character that stands out in my mind is Phillip. He stands out in my mind because all he cares about is getting on the track team.
In this novel there is lots of irony. One example is when Phillip finaly gets out of Miss Narwin's class he decides to move to a different school. Another example is that the book is titled Nothing But the Truth, but it is filled with little truth and lots of lies.
This novel is a documentary novel. Documentary novels use real life documents instead of making stuff up.In the novel one document that stands out to me is Phillip's diary entries.

Summary: Nothing but the truth
Review: There are alot of Irony in this story. For ex. Philip who wanted to be on the track team more than anything else ended up transferring to Washington Academy. But when he got to Washington Academy they dont have a track team. This is a good book.

Summary: An Ironic Book
Review: This book is full of irony. It is more ironic than a person starving to death in a grocery store. An example of irony is the title is Nothing But the Truth, right, but in fact this book is full of liars. Such as the main character, Philip Malloy. He never told the truth about what had happened the day he was suspended for singing the national anthem. Another way this book was ironic was the whole problem was from Philip singing the national anthem when the announcements were on supposededly to be patriotic. But in the last sentence of the book you find out he doesn't even know the words.
There are many other components of this book such as characters and plot. The characters remind me of people I know. For example Ms. Narwin reminds me of my English teacher. I think the plot was not very well developed.
I also think the writing style should be narritive instead of documentary novel. So you could learn the characters personality better.

Summary: Nothing But The Truth
Review: I think the plot in Nothing But The Truth is very realistic. I think this because the events that happened in the book could really happen.
I think this book shows a lot of irony. I think this because you never know whats going to happen. For example, Philip did anything and everything to get on the track team, but ended up going to Washington's Academy. Which had no track team. Another ironic thing that happened was when philip was asked to sing the Star Spangled Banner, and he said he didn't know the words, when he had became a national hero for his patriotism.
The writing style of this book was a documentary, which I enjoyed because it wasn't as boring as a narrative story.

Summary: All About Lies
Review: I thought that the book was very pessimistic. That is that the book had a negative ending.I thought that the book had a very good plot that taught the readers a lesson. The main lesson that the book taught me is that no matter what you want, how big or small, if you lie to get it, you will lose more than you will gain.
I liked the plot but the characters were not realistic. For example, in real life Miss Narwin would have gotton her side of the story out in the press. I also think that Mr. Malloy would have checked out the matter a little farther before he let Phillips story get told to Mr. Griffen and the reporter.

Summary: Not Worth the Time
Review: This story's plot is not really realistic. It seems that it doesn't last long enough to catch my attention. Then again I never really liked anything like this anyway. This book has no interesting twist in the plot. It is just a lousy waste of time and effort that could be used reading something worth your time.
The charcters were boring. Philip would have gotten ASD, instead of suspension. Miss Narwin would have tried t ohave gotten her side of the story out in the public. I just think the characters needed a lot more work.
There is a pathetic sense of irony in this book. The title needs to be modified a little to NOTHING BUT JUNK. I don't mean to be mean, but I'm just expressing my opion. See you guys later. one piece of advise read for yourself.
