Rating: Summary: It is becoming a Savage nation... Review: Not surprising the Left chalks this book up as another "hate" filled edition of "right-wing" author/talk show hosts. The "Left" does not write books because they have nothing to write about. They are devoid of any passion and true sense of patriotism. The demise of the West and our country as we know it, does not bother them. It is what they have set out to do the past 40 years. Michael's book is not filled with hate, it is filled with facts whether we like it or not. His delivery isnt filled with "white-male" testosterone, rather it is straight and direct. Michael cares for this country deeply, and though it may come across to some in the book and his radio show as "hate", it is not. But he has a right to hate the loss of what is dear to him and to many others in this country. We need to be reminded of this, for we have had 30 years of left-wing dominance in this country, and the USA is in serious danger of losing its identity as an English-speaking freedom loving nation.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: Michael Savage tells it like it is in this book. If you enjoy his radio show, you will love the book.
Rating: Summary: Do not waste your time or money for it ... Review: A book of hatred, full racism from cover to cover. If you want to waste your time and money, do NOT buy it.
Rating: Summary: Ignorant Emotional Banter Review: I wonder what difficulty Savage had with his previous relationships that caused him to spout such silly drivel. He stereotypes and labels groups and ignores facts that interfere with his emotional outbursts. If Savage is so unhappy with our country, I welcome him to move elsewhere.
Rating: Summary: A Direction for the United States Review: Michael Savage hit me right between the eyes with this one. As a citizen of the United States, I have been looking for a direction to help support our Nation. This is the beginning of that direction. Read it and decide for yourself. If you need to be convinced, this book will do it.
Rating: Summary: Reading for the open minded! Review: This book was full of exciting and powering details revealing many untold facts petrtaining to this great but diminishing Country. Mr. Savage speaks out about what many are to afraid to say in public. I believe the writings reflect the way the majority feels and thinks behind closed doors. I hope there is a second book in the writings soon. A must read for all.
Rating: Summary: Dr. Savage? Review: Although I'm a fan of the Savage Nation radio show, as many have noted, the book reads like a transcript of his program. Considering Michael Savage's academic creditials, I really expected somthing with a bit of research and annotated refrences. Unfortunatly, all I got was an extended BLOG RANT.
Rating: Summary: Battle of the bulk sales Review: It's kind of fun to see the ups and downs of the Savage book and the Moore book on the New York Times best seller list. Always look for that little indicator on the right which indicates that book outlets are reporting bulk sales. Savage and Moore have a lot of fans, so bulk sales are understable. Moore is a political attacker. What he says is funny if you agree. Savage is more of a philosopher, but an angry philosopher. In some ways he sees the larger picture, but in the past philosophers were more cool headed.
Rating: Summary: Okay, but not great Review: Savage is funny for about 50 pages and then it got old. He needs some new material. Still, if he's new to you this isn't a bad place to start.
Rating: Summary: Important Viewpoint to Understand Review: First and foremost, this is an easy read. Savage writes with an almost minimalist attitude that makes for quick reading. It also makes him relatively easy to understand. In a world where there are lots of political writers who waver on the incomprehensible, Savage is unmistakably clear. But there are a few areas a potential reader should note. Firstly, Savage goes through this book with no cited sources, no references, etc. This is a little annoying, and this takes away from the validity of much of what Mr. Savage writes about. He has a PhD, he should no how to cite a source. Further, in this volume we get a lot of controversial "fact" that if true shoots very large holes in the philosophy of liberalism. But no sources. I guess you have to read other scholarly conservatives to get useful information. Secondly, though the flow of the book is great, everything goes together well, there lacks a lot of depth. The reader is left wanting when it comes to the importance of language, culture and borders. It is in this light that the work can be looked at as a long rant. However, Savage presents the essentials of his arguments, and we understand basically where he is coming from and what he means to say. After reading this you can listen to his talk show with a little more understanding. There is a debate brewing even among conservatives, the more libertarian conservatives opposing many of the strong armed views of Michael Savage. This book is on the cutting edge of the coming debate, and important for that fact alone.
