Summary: Michael Savage for President!!!
Review: Michael Savage, a true patriot who bleeds red, white, and blue. While his ideas may be considered extreme, his ideas can only help the state of America today. As for the reviewer who wrote that conservatives are to blame for all of today's problems, last time I checked these were the aftershocks of the Clinton Administration's policies on both international relations and the economy. I think all Americans should buy into Savage's ideas about immigration and affirmative action. These are not "angry white man" rants. Instead, Savage only wants to bring justice and a strong belief in America to the forefront of his ideas. Close our borders to immigration now, especially from Mexico and the middle east. In order to prevent another 9/11, a more savage nation must prevail. Great book Mr. Savage, keep defending America. I will be listening and reading as long as you can put your ideas out there. God bless America

Summary: Thought provoking
Review: I've not heard Dr. Savage on radio, but picked up the book because it looked intriguing, and on that point it didn't disappoint.

The author describes himself as an "Independent Conservative". Some would categorize the tone of this work as right wing extremism. However, if you can get past the inflammatory tone, the author brings up some interesting observations. His theme is essentially that we (the American "sheeple") have all been brainwashed by the liberal media, such as CNN (described as "Crescent News Network"), the NY Times, etc. According to Dr. Savage, this brainwashing is resulting in a decline in traditional American values. OK, after years of talk radio, (Savage, Limbaugh, and others) we have heard this before. Having said that, however his self admitted bias colors the tone of his points, he does ask some pertinent sociological and political questions:

Have we gone overboard with political correctness to the point where racial profiling restrictions make terrorists attacks more likely or easier to accomplish? Have we as a nation put security at risk with attempting to "understand our enemies"?

Have we ignored the spirit (and letter) of the constitution with things such as banning school prayer?

Do we discriminate against the best and brightest in the name of embracing diversity (the second chapter entitled "Diversity is Perversity")?

Of course, these questions have as many answers as the number of people (excuse me, "sheeple") who choose to read the book, based on the reader's own sociological and political leanings. The value of the points in the book is that the author brings up topics that are normally not considered or discussed. He provides a diametrically opposed view to groups such as the ACLU and PETA, who at times promulgate ideas just as far from center as Dr. Savages, yet we as a society may be less likely to dismiss these as the ranting of a radical extremist.

Three stars, if for no other reason than the author is up front about being in the collective faces of his readers (and I'm assuming his radio audience) and thought provoking, although some thoughts are better "thought out" than others. Yet the ideas will be lost on many who are left or centrist leaning in their views due to the tone of the delivery. Of course, devoted fans or Dr. Savage and Mr. Limbaugh will cheer loudly.

Summary: WHO'S ruining America?
Review: So, liberals are ruining America, huh? Let me just write everyone a quick reality check.

Conservative Republicans presently control all three branches of the government. They also control the news media (anyone who watches TV regularly knows this is true, although conservatives will never admit it).

Conservatives are presently running things--that's pretty much a given. So, let's see how the country's doing:

Hmm. The economy's lousy. Unemployment is high. The defecit is skyrocketing. We're fighting a needless war with Iraq (while North Korea builds nukes and Bin Laden laughs at us from the shadows). The rest of the world hates us. Little by little, our civil liberties are being eroded in the name of Homeland Security. There's more, but to list ALL the little gifts our conservative caretakers have bestowed on us would take up far too much room.

So, once again, let me get this straight. LIBERALS are destroying America?

Uh, yeah, right. Whatever.

Just keep repeating to yourself, over and over: "It's all Clinton's fault, it's all Clinton's fault, it's all Clinton's fault..."

Summary: Nice read
Review: If you listen to his radio program, much will already be familiar. If you are into PC, tofu, and have multiple piercings, this book isn't for you. If you're a normal person who bathes and has a job, then you will find it interesting.

Summary: Oh boy, more propaganda!
Review: Fascism (n.) - a system of government characterized by rigid one-party dictatorship, forcible suppression of the opposition, belligerent nationalism and racism, and glorification of war.

Summary: Wake up America
Review: I think this book starts out strong with a lot of informative views on REAL ISSUES we have here in our Country that are blurred and misrepresented by the overly Liberal Media. Savage makes a good point and reminds us that our Country was founded on certain principals that many people of today just don't care for and would be happy to take away.

The point is this book is to get you thinking of issues that are Real and never confronted by our Government or Media.
Overall I liked the book but it lost some steam towards the end. I read some other reviews that say "Even worse, their arguments are designed to pit one group of largely uneducated, working-class people against another", I have to disagree.
The truth is most people that listen to Savage and read his books are have a far greater education then most of the "Hollywood Idiots" that protest the war and people like Dr. Savage. As pointed out most "Hollywood Idiots", have only high school education at best which gives them no basis for their arguments. If you don't know history then you have no room to argue, this has been shown time and time again. I say "Buy the book and decide for yourself". It does have some strong opinions but I think you will like it.

Summary: Liberals' critiques here make his point!
Review: This book is like shining the light of Truth on a nest of liberal maggots, watch them run for cover of darkness. If you have heard Dr. Savage's radio show then the words in his book are familiar. But to read them gives them even more credibility. I plan to research several of his topics as the biased media failed to give the American people the whole story, as Dr. Savage has pointed out. ie: Elian Gonzales was not the only survivor, but was the only one forced (illegally snatched without a warrant from his relatives' home) to return to Cuba.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Savage tells it like it is
Review: Basic principles in this book are accurate. His plan to re-claim America is right on. We are losing the glue which binds us as a nation. I cringe everytime I'm asked "Engish or Spanish?" I'm sick when I see what has been done to our history books in the name of multiculturalism. Hopefully, Savage will start a movement and honest-intelligent folks will march with him.
