Summary: A GREAT read!
Review: I haven't been given the gift of gab, so I'll be brief. I read this book in one day. Lots of client examples and many personal insights, as well. For folks with Christian religious beliefs, John explains how he handles being a psychic AND a Catholic. I appreciate the fact that he also supports ALL faiths... not just his. I hope to be able to obtain everything he has published. If you like his show on the Sci-fi channel and desire more information about him, buy this book... you won't be disappointed!

Summary: One Last Time teview
Review: The book was excellent. Easy to follow, and full of wonderful stories of his childhood as well as an adult. Stories to make you cry and to make a skeptic a believer. I would recommend it to anyone interested in contacting the love ones in your past. It really makes you think

Summary: Remarkable and Amazing, If It's True
Review: Just before we lost our cable TV this summer, the "Summer of Sci-Fi" showcased John Edward, a slightly goofy-looking guy with a heavy New York accent, on his own psychic talk show. I watched it, and I liked it a lot ... then our cable got cut off. So as a substitute, I looked up his book and I bought it. I was rewarded with a touching series of anecdotes that reflect his life as a psychic.

In "One Last Time," John Edward does not pretend to be a guru or a prophet to be worshipped. Instead, he gives us the evidence he has received from "the better side" that proves that there is consciousness after death ... and before birth too, apparently. Some of the stories are so sweet and hopeful that I was nearly brought to tears as I was walking around reading the book. Edward recounts his discovery of his talents, his recognition of his spiritual guides, and his journey into service as a conduit for families and spirits to come to closure and understanding. But most often, his favorite topic is his mother's obsession with psychic mediums in life and her perplexing presence after passing over.

Edward's tales consistently deliver evidence that is both revealing and affirming that this world is not where it's all at. And even if you don't believe, most of the book would still be just as entertaining if it were written as fiction by someone like Stephen King. The only downside is that his book is about his "work" as ... well, as work -- like being self-employed. He remains steadfastly unopinionated about the messages and makes no types of predictions or judgements. That's appreciated by me in a way, but it doesn't necessarily make for great storytelling. And seeing how this is his job, eventhough it remains fascinating to him, by the last quarter of the book, I had had enough of the ins-and-outs of his daily "spiritual mysteries." If I were to tell you that I talked to people about their ads for the personals section of our newspaper for a living, then you'd be curious about that, probably; but if I went on and on in detail about how frustrating and laborious it can be each week, you'd lose interest after a while, I'm sure. That's the way I felt here. Instead of being titillated by his "and then this happened! ... but more about that later" style, I grew a bit weary of his narrative.

Still, I did read "One Last Time" in just a few days (fast for me). And all the other information he passes on from the Great Beyond has certainly proven to be reassuring and invaluable in my life. It sounds like like a bunch of bull when I explain it to friends, but I was convinced of his power when my unyieldingly skeptical boyfriend stopped dead in his tracks one of those cable TV nights. We watched John Edward tell a stunned woman that her dead girlfriend was saying hello. (Gays get to go to Heaven, too, apparently.) He was touched; and I was touched because my lover started to believe in something he couldn't see. So, go ahead, be skeptical when you pick up this book -- Mr Edward wants you to be skeptical! But, if you are open to new ideas, maybe you'll find the comfort of his spiritual stories, as well. Just don't expect to find any poetic prose or the lottery numbers for next week hidden inside.

Summary: I loved this book!!
Review: I've watched a few of John Edward's shows and have been impressed by how REAL and down to earth he is. His book is written with the same heartfelt compassion, humor and honesty. It's like hearing him talk.

Reading this book made me all the more realize how much life is precious and how important it is to live my life in a way that will yield no regrets, no communications left unsaid. As he said in his book,"they (the spirits) don't want us to become more worried about the Other Side than about the lives we're leading now. We all have jobs to do, lessons to learn." At the end of all his shows on the Sci-Fi channel, he also encourages us to fully communicate with the people around us while they are still alive, so that (a medium) like himself won't have to do it for us.

In that vein, I recommend another great book I read recently called "WORKING ON YOURSELF DOESN'T WORK" by Ariel and Shya Kane. This book is about living our lives to the fullest expression of our being, in each moment.

Summary: One Last Time By John Edward
Review: John Edward is an amazing psychic. I am truely a believer now that I have read his book. His life and experiences are fascinating. I could not put this book down for one second. This book helped me understand that there is an afterlife and death is something not to fear. John Edward helps people everyday have their one last time, what a wonderful gift to be able to give. Watch his show on the Sci-fi channel! You will be amazed!

Summary: Great medium, poor writer
Review: I caught John Edward on the Sci-Fi channel and became very interested. I'm pretty much a sceptic, but his show was VERY interesting, so I decided to pick up his book. The upside is that you know that John wrote this book, it's very straight forward, but he tends to jump around a lot. It's a good book if you're interested in John, but otherwise the book is a bust. I get more out of watching him on TV then I did reading this book.

Summary: NEW OUTLOOK
Review: This book is amazing!!! I could not put the book down! I can't believe the communication that people can have with loved ones that have passed. I now know that when my time comes to pass, I will still be able to watch my children and in some sort of way still be a part of their lives.

I COMPARE JENNY CRAWFORD'S BOOK - 'THROUGH THE EYES OF SPIRIT' TO 'ONE LAST TIME'. BOTH MEDIUMS PROVIDE BRILLIANT PROOF OF LIFE AFTER-DEATH IN THEIR BOOKS. AND BOTH MEDIUMS SEEM TO WORK HARD TO BRING FORTH EVIDENCE TO LOVED ONES OF LIFE AFTER DEATH.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU BOTH AND PROVIDE YOU WITH ENERGY AND LOVE TO CONTINUE YOUR WORK!

Summary: A Book To Challenge Old Beliefs
Review: After accidently discovering John's program on the scifi channel and becoming spellbound by what he was telling people, I had many questions. I bought this book and just finished reading it with some questions answered and more created. It certainly makes one think about old religious beliefs concerning what happens after death. Having read about the after death experience from the Christian, Buddhist, and Hindu perspective, I find this book tweaks my mind more than any of the others.
