Summary: Nothing But The Truth was good
Review: I liked "Nothing But The Truth" because it used alot of details on what was happening at in that part of the story. It was interesting because I never read a book that didn't write long pages of paragraphs.Avi wrote his story with memos, diary entries, telegrams, phone conversations, and newspaper articles.I think what made it so good was its plot it wasn't original like alot of other books today. It was like I was in the story connecting all the pieces together. It was sort of boring in some parts because the arguments were back in forth the teacher said she didn't do anything and the boy saying she did kick him out for no reason.I would reccomend this book to middle school and highschool children. I think other kids will find it as entertaining as I did.

Summary: What does it mean by nothing But The Truth?
Review: The book Nothing But the Truth by Avi was a very unique book. It was setup with phone conversations, memos, letters, telegrams, and news paper articles. It was an okay book, becasue a book about a boy being suspended for singing the national anthom isn't what i would call enjoyable. When you got into the book all it would talk over and over about how Phillip Malloy got suspended. it got annoying fter awhile reading practically the same stuff just coming from diffrent characters. thats why i gave it a three stars. Why was it called Nothing But the Truth?

Summary: What i think of Nothing But The Truth
Review: Nothing But The Truth was an interesting boook. I thought this because I liked how it was set up. At parts I didnt like it at all because it didnt give enough information to me. I like how the plot was set up. I like how the author set the book up bye having all kinds of conversations between the characters. At times while reading the book i felt as if I was there listening to them.

Summary: very interesting
Review: what i think about this book is that it was well written, yet needs more action. I thought it was good, some people say that its not good for readers under the ninth grade but i'm in 7th grade and it seems o.k. for a reader like me. I don't think its good for readers under grade 6, but that's just my opinion. Readers, like myself, should take this book seriously and not make fun of it. This is a good education book because we se it just like our schools.

Summary: Should have been a movie
Review: ....It is very hard to follow due to its unusual setup. It has a verysimple plot and does not go into great detail in anything. Throughoutthe entire novel you hardly get any idea of what is going on insidethe characters heads. This is why it should have been made into amovie as it would have been much simpler. Even if it was a movie itwould have gotten bad reviews because the story line is boring. Theending was also very dissapointing. For those of you consideringreading this book I will not give away the ending, but I will tell youyou are wasting your time with it.

Summary: Nothing But The Truth
Review: I think Nothing but the Truth is a great book. It's the kind of book that you never want to stop reading. It's about a boy who is in ninth grade and likes to sing the National Anthem when it was being played in morning announcements every morning. There was one problem his teacher wanted silence during that time. To what length will the media go get I good story about, the boy who was suspended for singing the National Anthem? I think this book would be good for 6th graders and older. It teaches children including myself about what could happen out of one little incident. I think 6th graders can understand the meaning of this book with a little thinking. There are lots of morals that are good for children to learn. It shows how mean some people are. The media was being its normal self. Bugging people to death. Nothing but the Truth is an example of how the truth can be bended and how much the truth can change. The story takes many twists and turns that are very exciting. You are always wondering, what will happen next?

Summary: Nothing But the Truth: Patriotism and the Truth
Review: Nothing But The Truth is a very interesting and original book. I would highly recommend it to be read in the 6th grade since I am a 6th grader and loved it. This book is very entertaining and interesting. It is nothing like any other book I have ever read. Phillip, the main character, is a high school student who makes himself famous because he sang the national anthem in core class. In the end, you will find out if this was because of patriotism or to make his teacher mad. AVI adds a little mystery, patriotism and truth. What I mean when I say there is a mystery aspect to this book is that along the way AVI seems to give you clues about who is correct in this matter of "patriotism". After awhile, you find whom you think is correct in this matter, many people, like myself, then would use future clues to test their explanation. Patriotism and truth are wound into the plot to make this book very original and interesting. I would highly recommend this book to everyone, it is suspenseful and exciting down to the last words, and you never know who will be mentioned on the next page. I would recommend this book to all, but especially 6th graders who enjoy new, different and exciting things.

Summary: Nothing but a Bore
Review: This book was a dissapointment from AVI. As I read the book in my seventh grade lit. class, I started reading ahead but that got bored of that. The best part of the book was the use of strong words in the last sentence. Parts of the book got confusing with the way it was written. This was a major downfall. All in all I would not recomend this to future classes.

Summary: Liar, liar
Review: I think this book should not have been named 'Nothing But The Truth'. Philip Malloy did not tell the whole truth hen he told the reporters and people about his story. He said Miss. Narwin was the one who suspended him for humming along with The National Anthem while it was playing over the speakers. I was really his fault because the rule of the school was to be silent while the National Anthem was playing every morning. I think Miss. Narwin did the right thing in sending him to the Vice Principle's office because he did not stop humming when the teacher asked him to stop. That's why people around the country were sending hate letters to Miss. Narwin for not being patriotic. Well, those people don't even know the whole truth! As I was reading the book till the end, I was getting so mad at Phillip and I took this situation like it was real. Even though I didn't like this book, I think it was well written and I did like it when Philip stands up for what he believes in.

Summary: You call this children's lit?
Review: I distinctly recall having to read this book in the eighth grade. The dialogue was obvious and flat and the story became quickly uninteresting as the actions of the book were mostly reactionary and were backed by no psychological drama. Our class discussion became so tired and repetetive that the teacher, who had never read the book before assigning it, announced his contempt for AVI and tossed the book into the trash.
