Summary: The Truth about our media-driven society
Review: Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

What if you have not idea what the truth is? In this book, no one knows the truth, and that's because no one knows the true story.

Phillip Mallory hums the national anthem one day in his homeroom class...he is taunting his teacher because she gave him a "D" in English. That bad grade prevents Phillip from playing a sport...no one knows this except Phillip, and this lack of information sets off a chain of events.

The principal, Phillip's parents, his teacher, a local politician all become involved, and they all have their own agenda, but once again, no one knows the real truth(not just part of the truth).

So what exactly is the Truth?

Summary: GR-8 documentary
Review: This book, nothing but the truth, is a great documentary by the famous author, AVI. As you read this book, you have to remind yourself that this is a true story and none of it is fake. Yes, it's pretty hard to believe that someone would make a novel that is also a documentary, but I wish more authors would do that. If any of you have any queastions, you can e-mail me.

Summary: Nothing but the Truth
Review: Nothing But The Truth is based on a true story about a boy who got in trouble for humming the star spangled banner. At the beginning of the of school day the principal would go on the P.A. system and tell what day it is and any other important announcements. After he was all done with his announcements a tape of the star spangled banner would be played. When it was playing the boy would hum along. Little did the boy know, his teacher thought that this was rude and disrespectful because the principal asked for complete silence. So, the boy was sent down to the principal's office. The story goes on to tell how this boy and his parents thought that humming the star spangled banner was not a bad thing, but a good thing. They felt he was not being disrespectful, and that he was showing patriotism to his country, not something for which to get in trouble. After a while, the whole town was involved and it turned into a big deal. It also got national attention because the boy's neighbor was running for school board president. One day the boy and his parent's went over to their neighbor's house to talk to him about the whole situation. When they went over to his house there was a reporter there, and the story got around. In the end someone at the school got so mad that they left. You will have to read Nothing but the Truth by AVI to find out whether it is the boy, his teacher, other kids or the principal. Over all I thought that this book was really good. It had a lot of detail and never got boring. It tells you nothing but the truth. I think you should read the best book in the world, Nothing but the Truth by AVI.

Summary: Entertaining and Thought-Provoking
Review: I thought this was an excellent book. It was a quick, easy read and I didn't want to put it down. It is written in a unique "documentary" format that allows you to see what is happening from several different perspectives and form your own opinions about the characters and the situations. I think that students of all ages will be able to relate in some way to this story and take something away from it.

Summary: Nothing but a lie
Review: I recommend Nothing But the Truth 'cause it has a pretty good main idea. I well tell you about it first. It starts with a boy named Philip Malloy. He likes a gilr named Allison Dorsett. There is a teacher named Miss. Narwin. Philip gets in a lot of trouble for singing the National Anthem. There is even financial trouble that happens in the novel! You woud have to read it to know what exactly happens but I found it to be an interesting novel.
